| I talked to a guy that worked on the GI Joe movie!
I posted this over on JBL, but thought you guys over here might like to see this post as well. Not a lot of new info, but it was a really exciting experience none the less.
If anyone has checked out the screening room forum you may have seen that I was at 2 of the 3 filming days in Bethlehem, PA for TF2. Yesterday I had the pleasure of chatting with a production worker that worked on GIJoe as well. He was a truck driver so he didn't have a whole lot of info and since it was on the set of TF2 most of the talk was about that, but here's what I found out from someone that was there first hand:
I asked him if there was much nods to the more classic looks of our beloved characters. His answer was this movie is really focusing on the more futuristic side of things. We already kind of knew this, but I had to ask.
He said Sienna Miller was super hot! (again we already knew this but still cool to hear first hand). He said they sprayed on some kind of skin tight fabric or something for her outfit and had to get her a special chair to sit in. They were afraid that the costume would rip if she sat normally. He also said she was wearing a black wig. That was pretty obvious in some of the earlier pics we saw, but I thought she died her hair from the later pics, guess it was a better wig.
I was asking if he thought some of us older fans would still be into this movie with it being more futuristic and he said it should be a pretty good movie. He said they blew lots of stuff up and spent something like 180 million. Now I know that doesn't mean it will automatically be a good flick, but he seemed pretty excited talking about stuff that he saw. He also said they are planning/hoping to make this into a franchise and squeeze at least 3 movies out of it.
It was really cool getting to chat with someone that works on movies, and even cooler that he worked on both GIJoe & TF2.
