For the last couple of years Wal Mart has been the #1 retailer when it comes to Toys. Wal Marts and Targets have forced Toys 'R Us almost into bankrupcy and going out of business. TRU closed many stores in the last few years and almost went out of business. There was even an idea to just have an online store only. About a year ago or so I believe that TRU was purchased by another company who saved them from bankrupcy. This is about the time when they got their own website again instead of having to share it with Amazon.com so I guess they are doing a bit better now. In any case they are in no way shape or form the Toys 'R Us we remember growing up with.

Yup, going to TRU used to be an event. My Dad used to have a lot of trouble getting me to leave. Now, it is a little depressing.

My favorite place to go is Target for now, although it's been lagging behind for the last few months. I've always disliked going to Wal-Mart, but my luck has been much better recently.

My local Kroger still does a decent job getting in joes and a few other lines, but it's typically a little behind.

In my area Target & Wal-Mart is where I've had my success. When one store is hot, the other is cold. Except with wave 7, where it hit both stores almost at the same time, which has never happened before. TRU was/is crap, until their exclusives hit and the single carded fig's are always old releases, which is good if I need a older fig. Same with K-Mart. And no KB's in my area.

I have to go with target, but I found most of my 25th at Wal-mart.

I say Target simple because they have less freaks and weirdos there. It seems like I can't go to a wal-mart without being begged for money or asked to sign a petition for something. Another thing it seems like everyone and their aunt Gertrude who has 10 kids of her own to add to there 5 are shopping there clogging the small aisles! I honestly do dread going there but the need to hunt is stronger. lol

Target is also easier for when because (when it gets something in) they're not open 24hrs. The wal-marts around me are and most get hit up when I'm relaxing at home for the evening or asleep.

Plus, some of the Targets around me seem to put out joes during the afternoon, which means I can check on my way home from work and manage to find something.

It's a toss up between Wal-Mart and Target. I've found figs at both.

I gotta agree with Cappy Hydra...ALL the stores in Chi-Town blow rhino...I picked Target simply cause I've had good luck in the burbs...after driving for about an hour to get to them...

TRU has gone down in shame....for the most part. Either they got crap, or they got tons of stuff you already have.

And online??? Well, I've only dealt with BBTS so far, and at first they were GREAT....but that damn wave 7...GRRR...I'll prolly get Wave 8 before Wave 7, and I've been on preorder since JANUARY!!!!!!!!

Yeah....

K-Mart (ROFLMAO) has been pretty good to me too...Caught all of wave 5 there at all at once...except Gold Dome Destro...grrr...

Wal-Mart can go rot. I have YET to find anything from them.

Yeah...I'm done

TRU is (sadly) the best there is here - Target has had the same sad hooded Cobra Commanders for months, and while Walmart was where I got a few of the wave 7 figures, TRU still has the most in stock comparatively, and had been the least expensive. Now, that isn't saying they always have Joes in stock - just more than the other stores. Kmart is the only other place I can find anything. KayBee closed down at the mall. The stores have been dry for the past two weeks.
