After re-reading all my G.I. Joe comics I've come to the realization that the Joe team couldn't hit the broadside of a barn if they were standing next to it. Cobra seems to have some real crack shots because in the 25 years of the comics 22 Joes have been killed by Cobra agents while Cobra's agents never get killed or wounded. For all their supposed expert marksmanship they can't hit any target even after they aimed.
What do you all think; are the Joes the Star Wars Stormtroopers of the A Real American Hero universe? |

It doesnt highlight it because you just dont care about the average trooper or viper. Im sure it was implied though when they shot down planes, blew up vehicles, destroyed boats... | |

Well, they don't hit the average troopers either and the vehicles they blow up the crew always manage to survive. I am, however, talking about the major Cobra operatives that are being shot at by the Joe team. I remember reading an issue by DDP where Bludd has an explosive slapped to his chest and it explodes supposedly killing him. Bludd comes back rather quickly so either the Joes are the most incompetent group of commandos or they lied on the data cards.  | |

Being a Marine they would always give us the whole "one shot, one kill" speech. Being an ellite group you think they would be trained better then your average Marine. | |

The joe team is 'so' elite that their marksman skills put them to a level of 'shoot to wound' and 'capture' the bad guys. Heck, most of them are so good they don't even need to shoot, they just have to get close enough to lay down some fist-a-cuffs... you can not reform a 'dead' Cobra terrorist or a 'dead' Cobra-La alien/plant/snake thing... | |

I would say the weapons were useless, but they did sometimes grab laser rifles away from the bad guys and hit them with it.
