Watching news tonight and saw a clip of a funeral of a man who died in a car accident. They showed the mass and on top of his table or casket where all the flowers were displayed, there were gijoes there. I saw a poc dusty and a roc water maccasin. He must have loved joes enough for someone to put those there. R.I.P.

I'm debating whether or not to make a joke. Given what happened to one of our own numbers earlier this year, I'm going to abstain.
So... my condolences to the family? Not sure how to do this.

Wow...thats sad I honestly feel bad for my wife if I leave early and she has to deal with my collection. I mean who wants to deal with that? Ive always told her to sell it off through the tank and then ebay if it comes to it.

I don't want to think about what happens when we die. It is a sad moment. Our collections scatter to the winds and we become a memory. That is very sad. I would rather think of something more comforting. What is it that we leave as a legacy?

As a kid i always wanted to die with my gi joes and was mortified id lose interest with them as I got older.
and the thing about memories is that they are always living in the past. not to get to philosophical and im not up to date on my quantum physics but i think its pretty likely nothing is lost forever. even our childhoods and toy collections. |

I've told my wife the same thing, she countered with the toys are part of me and she's not getting rid of any of them after I'm dead.
