Your side of the fence??? No you made a statement that wave 7 is all over the place....that just isnt true....like you said you live in NY of course youll have better pickings then me in TN....Wave 7 is not ALL OVER THE PLACE plain and simple...Im sure California has a crap ton too.....its because your in a bigger market......Like I said read some of the post here of people not FINDING THEM....
The Michigan Sightings Thread? Yeah, most of these guys live within 25 miles of each other. Heck, Doc Holiday lives up the block from me. Try networking with other collectors in your area, man. Yes, they really are everywhere. You just aren't looking everywhere.
Like I said in another post I took that advise i think you gave....I HAVE TALKED TO THE STORE MANAGER...DISTRICT MANGER....REGIONAL MANAGER...AND 1800WALMART. They are idiots...I even call Hasbro on a weekly basis.
Hmmm...so if you call them idiots here, I can only imagine your tone on the phone. Rather than take the approach of "hey hasbro, listen to me, I'm a guy that's ready to spend some bank on your plastic crack"...do you go "RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!!!!"? Quote:
Ive taken Pics since Nov and emailed them to Hasbro and Walmart.....so Im on it and done it Dun DUN Dun....
Like I said Bro Im not new to this I go to 6 Walmarts....4 Targets....2 TRUs.....and 1 K Mart.........NOTHING!!!! That's pure rubbish. If you have that many stores around you, yet NONE has anything? Something doesn't add up, chief. I'm not calling you a liar, I'm just saying it doesn't make sense. How often are you going out on the hunt? Daily? Weekly? |

And before I forget..the point to all my jib in the last post...
What does lack of product in your area have to do with the notion that it's a good idea to damage cards? Isn't that basically performing the same greedy act that bending the card is supposed to be against? |

Simmer down and move forward.
Bending is absolutely dumb. "You" may think you're doing some honorable thing...but you know what, not everyone who buys figures MOC buy them to scalp them. 95% of my collection is carded. Sure, I have "openers" scattered here and there, but I enjoy the look of my office with my figures mounted on the wall, not scattered over bookcases and whatnot. When "You" bend that card, it may be one that I, or someone like me, doesn't have. You just ruined that card for me or for someone else. Just because you can't/won't buy it doesn't mean you should take it out on the next guy. If people would put their money where their mouths are, there would be no problems. What do I mean? - Every figure you see, buy it. Every last one, buy them all. Buy them and list your extras here for what you paid for them. Not only will you effectively ensure that your local retailers CONSTANTLY stock product as it's always sold out (thanks to you), you'll also be helping your fellow boardmembers who don't have access to certain figures. The leftovers? Eh, since everyone's had their fill, go ahead and toss'em on eBay. Let someone we don't know have a chance at'em. Oh..."you" don't feel like going through all of that, eh? But you will bend that card because it's "looking out for the community". Yep, that all makes sense now. Look there is no need to damage something to fight the "evil empire" Benders are nothing more than toy terrorist. They are not Robin Hood helping out the little collector. They are not Luke Skywalker fighting with the rebellion against Darth Scalper. If anything they are helping the scalpers out. And while I'm thinking of it I wonder what the "benders" cards look like when THEY get them home? |

if everything at retail is bent wouldn't it drive up the scalpers price? I mean they are going to get theirs. Most good scalpers know when and where to get the figures first. Where most of us go when we are off work or on the way to or from work you have to keep in mind for a lot of these scalpers it IS their work.
