ok, i remember their bing the 1985 series, i remember the DIC series, but i remember another GI joe series in the late 80's early 90's ( nnot sure i remember exactly when) That was a little... different. It's not sigma 6 or Valor vs venom, it was something else. The opening sequencee, If i remember correctly, featured the General Moble base, Hawk flying around on a jetpack, and the theme music was VERY different from the other series, i remember the lyrics "got to get tough, Yo Joe" being repeated OVER AND OVER AND OVER again.
Which series was that? |

that was the DIC series.. THat was the song. Got to Get Tough Gijoe. but you might be thinking of Operation Dragonfire which came out in 1989. it was the 5 part miniseries right before the initial DIC show kicked off. It had Alley Viper in it, Python Patrol, and Battle Armored Cobra Commander. I have a copy of all these episodes on dvd.

That was the version produced by the animation company DIC, rather than the Sunbow version. Sunbow kinda wrapped up with the original, animated Movie, and then were underbid on a new season by DIC.
