Wasn't sure exactly where to post this, this seemed like the best place. Well when I started to collect joes again last year I was only going to collect my most favorite ones that I had when I was a kid, lost all my collection a few years back in a house fire and wanted to try and regain a small piece of my childhood. So I went from my favorites of about 20 to 30 figures to now I got about 60 or 70, just can't stop. LOL I've seen the 25th in pictures and such and never thought I would want any until I went to wally world today and decided what the heck, I strolled over to the toy department to see some for myself, they only had 3, 2 cobra troopers and 1 air trooper. And it figures now that I've seen it in person I have to get some troopers and have to start looking for some of the others, though am probably really far behind. Just hope I get my other car sold soon so I can fund my new expedition.
I don't really have a point just wanted to share. Thanks for reading, hopefully I haven't put anyone to sleep. lol |

welcome to the club! the only thing i can suggest is... make sure you througholy check the value of the items... before you buy them Also try to post here and on yojoe.com and see what responses you get BEFORE you go to ebay and get raped |

I wasn't going to collect the 25th figures in the first place. Then one day in December I went to Wal-Mart and there were a ton of Joes in stock (the first time wave 5 was in retail). Needless to say I left with 8 figures and I haven't stopped since! At first I was only going to collect a few chosen ones(I passed by many Flints, Firefly's, SS w/camo) but eventually I started to collect more and more.

I can relate. I'm a Star Wars collector, but when the Joe's were released again in the late 90's, I was hooked on GI Joe again. But with the relaunch of the various themes, which was hit & miss, I decided I would only get my favorite characters, Snake Eyes & Storm Shadow. So when the 25 figures hit, I was only getting my 2 favorites and I passed on the wave 1 when they first hit. But after the con, when I saw wave 2 carded, I made up my mind I was gonna collect the entire line. Then after seeing fellow members pic's of the 25th Armies, I jumped on the "army building" bandwagon, not as big as some, but big enoguh for my tastes, so yeah Hisstank & 25th Joe's are addicting, but in a good way.

Thank you. I have to say it feels like the dog ripped off a big chunk. lol I had my last dealings with ebay the other night when I bought falcon for $13, was the best one I could find anywhere and was only missing his antenna but have a feeling I should have spent the extra 7 bucks and bouth the one with antenna, time will tell.
That's how it starts, you say "I'm only gonna get a few and only this certain type etc." but you keep going and going just like that darn energizer bunny. |

Had given thought to chaining myself to my desk but would probably end up gnawing off my arm just to run to wal mart, would look pretty weird.
Just keep repeating..."must maintain self control" |

I am in the same boat. The problem I have is that I preorder everything from BBTS, then I see it earlier on eBay and can't resist. Then I do not want to cancel the BBTS order, and end up with 5 or 6 of everything because I can't resist when I see them at retail.
I would be fine if I could limit myself to 2 of each. One to open, one to keep MOC. I keep telling myself everything with the 25th logo is going to be worth something when they start Wave 8 (2008 W4) without the logo. So might as well buy another Buzzer!! I am a moron. The idiots the Hasbro marketing execs drool over. And now, I am a 33 year old man drawing plans for a giant diaroma in my finished attic. WTF??? Addiction? Oh yeah. |

Congrats on your finds today Randall, sounds like 2 hours very well spent. Not sure how many or which 25th figures I'm going to collect, probably as many as I can once I see them in person, there's a big difference between a picture and close up in person.
Good luck with the diaroma Jambi. |
