In '87, I was in 7th grade, my G.I.Joe collection consisted of all of '82, '83, & '84, some of '85 and '86 (nothing bigger than the Sky striker or Comand Center). It all went in a Garage sale for $30.
I pedaled to K-Mart that day to buy a Walkman (cassette player). Then in '94 I rebuilt my Joe collection to about 100 figures and a few small vehicles. I was suckered into trading them for what was purported to be a case of vintage Marx, Toy Truck Banks, left over from some oil company promotion way back when. I got 12 of them and opened one up to find out that vintage meant 1993. I couldn't give these things away. I ended up clearing them out at a garage sale in '99. |

I regret selling my entire ARAH collection in one shot for a few hundred dollars. I had tons of vehicles including the Skystriker, WHALE, Rattler, Night Raven, Mauler, nad plenty more plus the Terror Drome. I had tons of figures from 82-88, with multiple Vipers & BATs. I kept my figures in great condition and had only lost a few weapons and missles for vehicles.
My main regret with the 25th line is not ordering PDD when it was available at HTS. I wasn't collecting Joes again yet so I was only concerned with the Rodimus Alternator I got that day. |

When the 25th figures came out, I found a whole set of Wave 1 singles hidden behind some legos at Wal-Mart. I had decided that I wasn't going to get any of them except the hooded Cobra Commander and the 2 5-packs (which I hadn't yet seen) So I took them from their hiding place and put the other 3 back on the pegs and walked out of the store. Well, I still don't have a Flint. When I think about it, I call myself a dumbass.
Especially since I know myself well enough to know that I can't buy just one figure and be satisfied. I'm way too OCD for that. |

Cotswold collectables in the early 90's had vintage carded joes for 10-100.00 ea (including SE, SS, Firefly etc.) and also had the rarest Funskool variation figures for 12.00-25.00ea.
Wish I would have gotten into international stuff earlier. |

Late-90's I collected all the Joe Aircraft all of them in excellent condition including a Skystriker MISB and a Tomahawk MISB. All in all about 12-15 aircraft (including the small ones). Sold them all for $90 to help pay for this new thing that I just had to have. It just came out and it was called a DVD-player. Some months later I regretted my decision and I found the guy I sold them too and asked if I could buy it back. He said okay....for $350!!! I told him to stick it where the sun don't shine.
