i started collecting Joes again back in august with the 25 anniversary line. And i guess with the recent dry spell waiting for wave 7 i could not resist these aircraft. i never had a rattler when i was a kid and well now i don't have any parents telling me NO!!! while i go yelling and screaming down the joe isle. The rattler came with a broken rear landing gear and a bent rear vertical stablizer. i have since repaired the landing gear and using a heat gun was able to get the fin looking pretty strait. if yall didnt know a heat gun on low can erase the stress marks in the plastic. i removed the decals on the rattler because they wher in pretty bad shap and will be getting new ones other than that needs a good cleaning. The other rattler was a impulse buy but it is in perfect shape, really like the looks except the color of the bombs.
The fang well i probably played with this one more than any other toy in my life, i think it was the only one durable enough to stand up to the ruff play. All it seems to be missing is the engine guard but im sure i can eventually pick that up to. The Skystriker is the best find of them all. Skystrikers never go cheap on ebay. I have been looking for one for a long time and i always seem to get outbid. So i decided to just get one and piece it back together. well i bid on this one that said it included everything that it came with and nothing was broken. it did say it was missing a parachute. the auction only had 2 pics one small one of the jet and one of ace. i took a chance and gambled that it would be in good shape. Let me tell you this thing is almost perfect in my book, all it needs is new decals and a good cleaning. This thing brings back a lot of memories, this is the holy grail of my childhood. hope yall enjoy the pics i thought i would share with yall. sorry for the long winded post but these are just freakin awsome.
