If the cartoon was still running or a new one happened to start up and they still did the psa's, what do you think they might be about today? Back in the 80's the psa's covered problems that were big then, so would the new ones cover problems we have today? Let's say the execs come to you and say, "give us some new psa's", what would they be, and what joes would you have in them?

most of them are still relevant. Unless we solved the problem of kids being mean to each other, or kids eating junk food, or kids burning their house down, or kids just being stupid in general. I would say that these problems weren't 80's related.
That being said: I of course would want to see mainframe bust open some kids door and tell him to stop looking at porn on the computer. Another one could be some kid listening to an ipod while crossing the street. Breaker would bust in rip that ipod off and tell him to look and turn down his volume to listen for cars. Zartan could come in and teach the dangers of not wearing sunscreen. Maybe Firefly could come in and scold some kids for making mail box bombs. |

Some kid could talk to someone online, agree to meet up and it turns out the guy is Zartan in disguise. Then any joe could show up to warn him about the dangers of meeting people from the Internet.

I know what you're going for but it's still pretty creepy.

Street Racing. Not sure what joe would do it though. Maybe Ripper and he can cut the kids out of the car crash.

I think being careful in chat rooms, or...uh...forums. One could also be about getting off the computer or game system and getting outside for exercise.

I know what you're going for but it's still pretty creepy. That implies things about Zartan that I reallllly don't like to think about. I DO think that would be a topic for a modern PSA, but it would be along the lines of a kid talking to some complete stranger on the internet about meeting, then maybe Mainframe would have, I dunno, hacked the kid's computer and he would appear onscreen and give a brief warning about talking to strangers on the internet. Or something.
