Thanks everybody. I gotta tell ya, I really love my dirty little collection.
A few years ago I lost most of my original childhood collection in an accident (except for 90% of my figures, thankfully), and since last November I've been trying to rebuild it and add onto it. It's such a great feeling when you go outside and there's a box for you and inside of it is a vehicle or a figure that you haven't seen in years or even decades. It's amazing, as I'm sure most you here already know.
atomicpower: I'm glad you asked that! Zanzibar is actually one of the figures I lost a few years back. As you see I still have his skiff, and one of these days I'll get him again and sit that ol' pirate 'nok back in his seat again.
wish12oz: LOL Yeah they're white, but they weren't so white a few months ago! ;) The first SS you see standing on the top of one of those first pics IS an original '84 SS, but he was really really yellow, and I got desperate. So one night I very carefully and painstakingly painted him white, then brushed on a sealer to make it look good and shiny. Honestly, if you get up real real close, it's more obvious that he's been repainted, but from a few feet away it looks good I think. It sure beats displaying a nasty yellow SS like I was for a few months. It was bothering me, so finally one night I figured, "hey, I can't make him look much worse than he does now all yellowed and crap!", and as it turns out, I'm pretty pleased with the results.
The second SS you see (behind the Dreadnoks) is actually a new sculpt figure I got as a freebie in a trade. I really didn't like the look of the new sculpt SS, so I just repainted him in 1984 Stormie style! Sometimes when I'm glancing at my collection, he kind of fools me into thinking he's the '84 SS, until I look back at it again and remember that actually he's my custom.
