Greetings! This poll is for active players of the Hisstank G.I. Joe vs Cobra RPG Game.
The Question is, how long should the game be? I would like to get a basic idea, all comments are very welcome. Aaaaaaaaannnnnnnd GO! |

I like not having a time limit. That way you never know when it is going to end.

Anything longer than 5-6 days could pose a problem. Interest may grow dim if they are long and drawn out. Keep it short and action packed. Plus anything that runs into multiple weekends could become a problem and busy people can't post and it could end up devastating to one team.

Hmmm, I hear you. I'm not really thinking about a time limit, I can adjust the length of the game within a day or two by tweaking numbers. Thanks!

i think it should end when the scripted objectives are completed. Having said that, the less time between games, the better imo.

I personally feel that it ends when it ends. But sometimes the longer a game goes the harder it is for a team to continue to show up but we do.
Hey C-La are you going to have polls like this for all areas of the game? Or can I just pm you some thought? Also happy father's day and great job on the game! |

It ain't over till it's over. I'm not really worried about the length of the game because I'll find a way to post. Great job on the game though bro.

the longer the game lasts the better...i understand some may feel differently, since they may not be able to obligate to longer but, for most of us we want the action non stop and few days between....I agree with Tenken...if its possible to play every other week that would be cool

I like short, medium, long. They all have their good and bad points. I would be more interested in a change that wouldn't put so much emphasis on the midnight restart. I had to post from my blackberry last night and hisstank forums don't translate well on my phone. Plus, hisstank time and the time on my phone, computer, clock on the wall, etc. don't line up.
The midnight restart is the lynch pin to the game now. A bad restart and your team could be fraked. It's also requiring a good amount of people to dedicate midnight for 5+ days to being in front of their computer. 3 nights this past week, I had to make special arrangements to be in front of a computer so I could post at restart. Then my blackberry post last night which registered at 12:02 am hisstank time which was midnight verizon time. Guess the satellite was a little slow. Please don't misunderstand. I enjoy playing the game. I have the best teammates on the tank. Very dedicated and loyal to the team. However, I think it would make things a little easier on all the players if maybe a couple of nights were dictated by the restart, not every night. Cla, I and everyone else truly appreciate the time and effort you put into the game. I know you bust your ass for it. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Sadly the number of players far outweighs command staff. As someone who needs to dump his PM box upwards of 3 times a day during the game, invest countless hours into it's daily operation (planning strategy, sending out orders, tracking player's hits and heals, etc) the shorter the games and longer apart they are the better.
I don't intend to offend anyone but my voice is up against those who who get a PM and need to make 1 post. I know I'm over generalizing that point because their are of course many exceptions to that of course. I feel my vote will have no impact here.
