I am having a hard time deciding which package to buy or if I should just do the general admission since I live in the DFW area.
I am not interested in the higher level packages due to the fact that the exclusive figure sets are not a priority for me.
My main concern is to make sure that my 9 year old son has a great time and is able to experience everything possible. I am wondering exactly what we will be missing if we go the general admission route.
The casino night/touring events aren't something we are interested in but I want to make sure we see any Hasbro presentations/displays and I am just not sure what is available since I have never been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to attend.
I think that some of the costs can be justified since I am also not having to pay for hotel rooms/travel etc.
Any suggestions? |

General Admin only gets you into the sales floor. I do not think it gets you into any of the roundtables. The full package gets you entry to the sales floor anytime, roundtables, casino night/dinner and of course the con exclusive set. General Admin does allow you to buy items from the Con Souvies store....these are the items like Piper and Grand Slam/Starduster from last year. The tours are always separate from the con packages. Those are held earlier in the week. General Admin also gets you access to any of the guests that may be signing autographs like Slaughter, Piper and Hama from years past. Hope this helps and hope to see you there.

I went to Atlanta with a pal and my girlfriend last year, and I paid general admission for each of us when we arrived (they don't take plastic for admission, though, so bring cash!). I attended every Hasbro panel, and I even checked with Brian Savage prior to attending, because the Hasbro events were a big part of why I wanted to go, and this was his response: Quote: |
Yes, if there are seats. Registered attendees get first seating. This has never been a problem in the past.
| There was plenty of room, and general admission attendees would only be excluded if they ran out of spaces. I had the opportunity to chat with Hasbro team members and learn a lot. The tours did not interest me, and the only thing not included was the opportunity to get autographs. I bought a bracelet for $20 which got me into the autograph line, a small price to pay for the chance to meet Larry Hama. |

I also did not know they charged $20 for autographs.....interesting. I learned somethin' then. Quote:

As for parachute drop think the figs are around 15 or so? beleive they're open for whoever's on the ground to grab. don't really participate in drop so can't answer for sure. hope to see ya there. |

All of the S6 figs were supposed to be collected and sold in the club store. I saw a recent post saying last year's fig was $20, but I seem to remember $30. I can't remember. SOME people were lucky and got a rogue dropper for free, but most made it to the floor and were sold. If you were one of the voluenteers to throw these, you got a free one.

I would gladly buy one of the sky bats as long as they are 25th style. |
