In the Marvel Comic, How in the world did Cobra Commander survive being shot in the back by Fred VI? When he was killed by Baroness and Storm Shadow, he was dead. When he was killed by Chuckles in the cover page, it looked like Chuckles had killed a dummy dressed as Cobra Commander in the head.
In Marvel Comic, he shot in the back and looked like the bullet went throught his chest with puff of gunsmoke. No blood though?

Comics Code in the USA limited what blood shed could be shown.
People no-prized the "puff" and suck exploding off of CC's chest as bit of armor still stuck to his shirt or some nonsense or the cop out "artist's mistake". |

There are super heroes who have suffered way more graphic deaths than CC and they managed to come back. That's just comics, for you.

Good example of how dark the comics were compared to the cartoon.
Imagine if GI Joe went back to their roots, which were the comics. In the 50’s and the ARAH in the 80’s. Joes has stayed cartoon soft for long enough.

It'll probably always be cartoon soft because that's what the public knows Joe as.
Besides, it was just early ARAH that was "dark". Post CC's return it was just goofy ass "grimdark". |

The comic had dark moments, like the village slaughter in #1, but it was usually just as goofy as the show. |

If the current Hama stuff is the same continuity, then basically ONLY Kwinn and the Battleforce 2000 died permanently in Hama's entire run.

Don't forget all the guys the SAW Viper mowed down and then who died when their getaway vehicle exploded. And General Flagg.

I'm going to push back here. If death from a shot to the heart can be undone as easily as it was in the comic, or if Scarlett can survive a point blank shot to the head, then death means as little as if no one ever dies. Actually it probably means less, because even if no one dies in the show, it's still possible for them to die, whereas if characters routinely walk off death, there's always a possibility that will happen, and there really isn't any death in the comic.
