What was your best G.I.*JOE Real American Hero memory?

What was you best G.I.*JOE A Real American Hero memory ???

Lets here them stories.

...For me it was when the 1984 line up of joes came out and I manged to get this bunch at Sears...Storm Shadow, Baroness, Firefly, Scrap-Iron, Roadblock, Mutt, Recondo, and the Watch Tower (base station). I couldn't wait to get the rest and especially when zartan came out! It was one of the best years...

hmmm...a tuff one there?

Picking a fav. joe memory is like finding a needle in a stack of needles for me (and i'm sure it's the same for most of you guys), but for conversations sake I'm gonna go with
1985
my favorite year and i think it was really the pinnacle of RAH's popularity. It was a year that brought us a new cadre of cobra troopers with special skill sets. A
monster was born in the u.s.s. flagg and we got our greatest version of snake-eyes (ever)!
I will draw on a personal experience though,
on a casual visit to the wal-mart with my grandma, i had a budget of $20 that i had earned pulling weeds and mowing her yard. they just so happened to have a 2 for $5 sale that saturday and it was a whole sidekick display full of 84-85 series figures!!
The ultimate $20 haul=

snake-eyes v2
flint
storm shadow
dusty
alpine
snow serpent
crimson guard
firefly
This was one of my first lessons in being rewarded for hard work. Suffice to say i was a weed pulling fool for the next few years!

The one Christmas that I got Killer WHALE, Moray Hydrofoil and the TTBP in one shot. Turned the underneath of the tree into an island.

Best Christmas ever.

The day my parents tricked me into thinking that the Crusader shuttle lying in the living room under the xmas tree on xmas eve was for my dad's nephew, whom I later found did not exist LOL. Turned out my parents got the Crusader for me and wanted me to think that "Santa" gave me a Crusader and some kid down the street got the one my dad bought!

**It wasn't until years later that my parents told me the truth and laughed at me. I laughed with them. Greatest xmas ever!**

Also, the 1st ninja force commercial where Storm Shadow drops down unsuspectingly behind a Crimson Guard from a helicopter and ambushes him. Man was that enough for me to want that figure!

When I got the Moray Hydrofoil for my birthday. I just loved launching the depth charges and everything off of it. I would take a blanket and make "waves" out of it and put the boat on top. Good times.

I remember walking through a store, Walgreen's I think, with my dad. Standard procedure is that he goes and looks for whatever dad's look for while I go to the toys.

And what did I find?...Destro! I was so excited. I didn't even know he existed! (Remember those days?) I ran as fast as I could, frantically searching and calling for my dad.

However, my dad had just bought me Panthor from the MOTU line so my chances of getting him were slim. But after some begging and puppy dog faces he broke down and bought it for me. Destro has been my favorite Joe since.

Years later I'm walking through Wal-Mart with my wife. Standard procedure is that she goes and looks for whatever wives's look for while I go to the toys.

And what did I find?...Sigma 6 Destro! I was so excited. I ran as fast as I could, frantically searching and calling for my wife.

However, we had to buy house stuff so my chances of getting him were slim. But after some begging and puppy dog faces she broke down and bought it for me.

Story of my life.

Don't know if i have a number one memory, but one that sticks out is my grade school friend showing me his Tomax and Xamot that I thought were sooo cool. I never got them, but i will someday, maybe even in the new 25th Anniversary form!

One thing I can vividly remember was playing outside w/ my Cobra Glider and getting it stuck on the roof of the house...several times! I must've been a real thick-headed kid!
