Does anyone remember calling " The Fridge " back in 87 to get his special combat skill to send away for the figure? It was 50 cents a call back then, and man did I run up a phone bill I recieved a Fridge certificate today and just laughed when I remembered calling. I was going to try the number just for kicks, but worried it may be a porn line number now lol
Does bring back memories though..........I feel bad for some of the teenage members, you guys missed some great years for toys in the 80's.Yeah we may kick the bucket before you, but we had an original carded SE at 1 point, SO THERE joking ofcourse. |

I remember calling Sgt. Slaughter. I remember his special code was "1986".
I hate to admit this, but I could never figure out what the Fridge was saying. I just got my extra certificate.

i had sent off for my fridge action figure and waited like what had seemed forever.i was only 12 years old and we had to go on vacation to san fran. the whole 2 weeks we were there i was worried about nothin but the fridge. all i can say was it was good times when i got back home. i also have the mail in sgt slaughter. i remember being kinda pissed that soon after the mail in sgt slaughter that they started selling him in stores.they had changed the color of his hat and pants. i bet they do the same for doc 25 years later

I sent a way for the lifeline figure from the Rice Crispies Cereal offer... that was pretty cool. I also sent away for a Cobra Night Landing which I was the happiest kid in the world when I recieved it in the mail!

I tried sending off for the super trooper figure. I say tried because I ended up mailing the money order to myself...guess I should have got someone who had filled out an envelope before to inspect my handy-work...oh well,
i was just a kid. (on a side note, as an adult collector, nearly 18 years after the fact, I did send off for him again, by way of Ebay...got him that time ) |
