It worked, since I missed out on figures like Duke and Tripwire I was able to get them in the TigerForce releases.

We despise repaints now, but loved them as kids.

So did Tiger Force ever appear in the comics at all?

i always assumed it was just a cheap way of using old plates to re issue the old toys. luckily i got the t f snowcat tf cobra ferret and the tf dragonfly

I thought I read somewhere that they came out to commemorate some anniversary with GI Joe, not the 3 3/4 line but the entire line in general. On like a spur of the moment kind of thing, Hasbro just repainted popular figures of the current line, not wanting to invest too much into a little personal celebration the company was having.

Yes I love the cool tiger stripes on their cammies. I hope Hasbro does them all again. But I had no idea what the real Tiger Force was and my sympathy goes out to anyone touched by such an atrocity. Do you suppose that Hasbro...nah, nevermind. This is why it's always a good idea to research names you might give your product. Can you imagine an American kid in the 80's being told why his Vietnamese grandparents would not buy him Tigerforce Joes?
