That's because they produced a limited supply and all the god damn scalpers keep buying them and trying to sell them on Ebay. Plus the stockers at TRU and other places know that they are wanted by the collectors, so they buy them or steal them and put them up on Ebay. Hasbro could solve this problem by putting them up on their website but they don't.

San Diego is sad none of the TRU have them and very few Wal-marts do but I find what I'm looking for at Target. I travel a little for my job and it is sad some places have tons but SO Cal in general is sad. The people working at TRU bunch of sneaky pricks my nephew works 2 days a week and his boss doesn't put but a few they have in stock out and it's messed up. Sorry for the rant but Griffin is right.

That is the reason why I buy online now. Can't find anything new in Southern California. There's way too many scalpers I guess in Los Angeles. Funny, since we have so many stores (probably the most out of any other area) yet such horrible stock in inventory.

I am in northern California east of San Francisco. I have been checking every once in awhile at the nearest three Walmarts and two Targets and I have not seen a single 25th anniversary Joe at any of these stores in the last 6 weeks or so. I see a few comic 2-packs once in awhile, but I never see any of the comic 2-packs that are actually worth buying. I'm fairly certain that the shipments of 25th anniversary Joes that these stores recieve never actually make it to the shelves. I think that the people responsible for stocking the toy aisles are taking them for themselves, or those horrible scalpers have some deal with the store employees' where as they get to have first pick when the new shipments come in. I think it's funny how these stores actually have space in the toy aisle reserved for 25th anniversary Joes, yet the pegs are always empty. What is the point of having this area in the toy aisle reserved for 25th anniversary Joes if the stores are not going to stock their shelves? Seems like a waste of valuable store space to me.

yea the number of people in LA alone makes it hard to find stuff. you'd think there's a greater number of people out here in CA that there would be a higher inventory on merchandise.

I to, like Darth Brett, have gone the way of pre-ordering online, but there've been times where I've found them at retailers before e-tailers. Still waiting on my Wave 6 from BBTS. I usually buy my MOC in stores and rip open my pre-orders. Believe it or not but I've been getting my Wave 5 at K-Mart. Though, I too have not seen Wave 6 in stores. I noticed the trend of a new Wave is out, people find them 'everywhere' for 2-3 weeks and then 2 months later you can walk into a store and find them no problem. I actually have a Target that I got to at random and find pegs of new stuff, and it's not even at 8:00 when they open. I've learn to be patient and pre-order to make sure I at least get one of ever figure.
