$50 is a rip off.
The true reason for the filecard info on the Stinger is that the writer thought it would sound cool and tough and didn't bother to do the full research to make sure it's actually fully functional and the right choices for the intended use of the vehicle. The 140 mph top speed though seems a bit optimistic. You would need a whole heck of a lot of horsepower to get such a blocky vehicle going that fast. Last edited by Xenos; 03-15-2010 at 01:36 PM.. |

I think the stinger could go as fast as you can. Bent over pushing it.

The turbos could have a trip switch that one would activate when "retreat" is sounded and you need to haul a$$. Just sayin'.

I always thought the Cobra Stun was supposed to be the fast vehicle. Of course, even the Hiss tank was suppose to be high speed.

I don't know...it's not unheard of for a heavy duty vehicle to have turbos. Look at the Ford Superduty. It has a turbo, and it's purpose is to pull a whole lot.
The 140 mph top speed though seems a bit optimistic. You would need a whole heck of a lot of horsepower to get such a blocky vehicle going that fast. The stinger has 2 turbines on the back under the missles...I would assume its just like any other turbine, sucks in through the front and blows out the ass. I dont think its "instant speed"... If those turbines work the way a turbine does, then even with the weight I think 140 is doable....its just that getting to 140 is'nt gonna be 0-60 or even 1/4 mile speed....it may take awhile. Quote:
That manual feature is pretty much its claim to fame...I can see a Stinger having something like that. |
