Ok Gang,
I might get booed off the forum for this but, here it goes.. I have turned a buck or two for action figures in the past few years. I hope everyone can understand with inflation and everything going up in price and well, my wages going down. I had to do something. So I started selling random figures on ebay just to supporting my own habit. I admit I dont take everything and I dont take toys that are new to the area. I usually wait about a month. When figures start becoming pegs warmers I will buy them and sell them. Yes, I have made a stoopid amount on Ebay for them. I have a separate checking account for my toys and I keep it self-suffient for my toys and gas to hunt for them. What may be a peg warmer in my area could be hard to find in your area. So next time you see a Joe on ebay for $15-$25 and $5 for shipping. Think how much you spend in gas to search for the toys you want. |

I don't blame you dude. I mean the cost of gas rising makes it more costly to "hunt" for figures in general. Back then the charges were for Shipping & Handling. I think Now there's gonna be a gas fee in there sooner or later just watch and see.

What i dont understand is most people are hunting for themselves.....then later you decide...."I dont want this" so your gonna charge for gas when you were going anyways??? Come on guys......i never charge for gas.....cause i was going there anyways.....seems like a cheap excuse to get a few extra dollars.

Even my gas guzzling SUV gets at least 18 miles to the gallon. Most of the places I go to (and I generally am shopping for other things while I'm there too), are within 10-15 miles. So at $3-4 a gallon, an extra $9-19 a figure is a joke. |

I don't blame you as well. You gotta do what you gotta do. It's a free market economy so don't feel bad that some people are willing to spend more for what your selling. I would be more disappointed if you quit collecting because of rising cost.

If you are concerned about what people think of your toy profiteering, why even post this?
