To have OCD you must have compulsions or obsessions alone. You also must realize at some point that your actions are excessive. The problem is that you have to comply with the obsessions to ward off the negative feelings. To have OCD means that one can't live a "normal" life. With your last statement, you might have OCPD - Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder. These people are not aware of anything abnormal about themselves. They normally have explanations for their actions being rational. I'm not trying to get to "deep" here. All I am trying to say is that when you buy something you should expect to be getting quality merchandise from the company who makes the products. This might be way off, but if I buy a brand new car I do not expect to see any scratches on it. I feel the same way when I go to purchase Joes or anything else. The manufacturers should make sure their product looks right before they let it out of the warehouse. This is only my opinion though. Last edited by Scoop; 03-18-2008 at 09:32 PM.. |

If you're going to spend your hard earned $, it should be for an item that you are happy with. |

Me, As long as they are presentable, I don't really look too hard.
2 arms, 2 legs, head, good to go. The only exception I have made was looking at 3 different Ace/Wild Weasel 2 packs, to find one where the paint app to Ace's eyes didnt make him look like WW's .45 was shoved up against his prostate. |

things touched by human hands are not perfect. if it was all done by computer then we would be complaining that the figures are too perfect and cold. besides, people are making pretty good money selling mispaints as b.s. variants, see joe e-bay threads.
let it go man. do you spend hours picking out the right apple or can of coke? do you stroll down a beach for weeks to find the perfect shell? perfect is all relative. perfect to me, is going into a store and finding a figure at all, besides buzzer. enjoy what's around you and the short life you have to. |

I'm picky when it comes to loose figures..I can't stand wobbly, Loose jointed figures. I like to display them and not have to super glue the legs to keep them standing up!

dont care about card condition...if i dont open it, it means i didnt buy it.
as far as paint jobs...im 100% satisfied with every figure i own, except for shipwreck and zartan. shipwreck is the only figure, ive done any touch-ups on. zartan, as far as his eyes go, ive just subscribed to the fact that i own the best im going to. i picked the one i have more for the tinge of green on his face...just like how it looks. as far as quality checks...first thing i look at is eyes...second is hairlines and blemishes on face....third is straight weaponry...fourth is overall uniform. bad eyes and face blemishes are dealbreakers....they will stay on the peg. weaponry being straight will piss me off everytime i look at the figure. uniform isnt that big of a deal...an issue that further kills a figure ONLY if the above are unacceptable. |
