Welcome to the Tank! My recommendation, Set yourself up a Buy sell and trade thread in the extensive enterprises forum and get on building that collection up.

Figured I'd introduce myself on here. Haven't been on a forum in quite some time. Do people even do introductions still?
I like long walks on the beach and sunse- Whoops! Wrong idea... Been a Joe fan for as long as I can remember. Started with the old Street Fighter ARAH days; twisting the elastic hips on Ken to do sweet Hurricane Kicks. I know I'm not the only one guilty of this. I remember watching the tail end of the original ARAH DiC cartoons- Ninja Force, FTW! Turned 18, got a job and blew all of my cash collecting 25th Anniversary Joes. This was essentially my gateway drug into toy collecting since 2007. G.I. Joes gave me a reason to hunt in retail stores, walk in to local Comic Shops and easily blow 10 bucks a figure. It made me really enjoy scavenging the store pegs. PoC and 30th Anniversary were my biggest collections. That's where I started bashing, painting and overall customizing. Unfortunately, life had other plans for my collection(s) and I ended up having to sell them as last resorts- which I still regret to this day. Now, after having dabbled in multiple toy lines, I'm back where I started. Going to try and bring back my collection. Back to where I put the most love in to collecting and the most I've ever enjoyed toys. Anyways, just want to say hi to every one on the Tank! If there are any fellow Winnipeggers/Canadians/Dog-Sledders/Syrup-Drinkers, please feel free to say hello! |

Howdy tankers!!! I'm a G.I. Joe fan from Greece. ARAH was my favorite toy as a kid. I remember in the late 80's my first figure was a series five Iceberg and a series five Zandar for my brother. So many good memories. I grew up and other priorities came to my life. Some years ago with the first movie my interest for Joes came back again. Fave Joes: Rock & Roll and Outback. Fave Cobras: Destro and Gnawgahyde. These are some infos for me to you. The site is amazing and I don't know from where to start.

Hey guys, just joined up on site yesterday. Spent most of 1985/1986 through 1994 collecting new Joes and vehicles. Sadly, I sold everything off in 1998 to a collector... for peanuts on the dollar (also sadly).
Later on got married, had some kiddos, but never left my love of the Joe collecting hobby. Got back in the collecting game and been building back up quickly. Sorting through over 1,200 Joes right now, hundreds of weapons and sorting through about 70+ vehicles to see what they need to complete them once again. Hoping to contribute to the site as best as I can as time goes on, in the mean time please put up with my questions! lol Thanks for having me! |
