I've always thought of the Joe team as an elite special forces team. Somewhere along the way, it seems like it got a little watered down and there were so many members and specialties that it hardly seemed like the elite force it was designed to be. So, my question is, what if you had to limit your team to 12 members - the best of the best - and they had to maintain their primary or secondary MOS, who would you choose?
Here's the criteria from the US Army website: Special Forces groups are organized in small teams of 12 men — a.k.a. Operational Detachment Alpha (ODA). A typical Green Berets Team structure usually consists of two each of the following: Weapons Sergeants, Communications Sergeants, Medical Sergeants and Engineering Sergeants. A Commander, Assistant Commander (Warrant Officer), Operations/Intelligence Sergeant and Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge (NCOIC) complete the team. Here's a link if you want more info on each member's duties/specialities: GoArmy.com Special Forces Team Members Here's my team: Commander - Falcon Assistant Commander - Flint Operations Sergeant - Duke Intelligence - Scarlett Weapons - Repeater, Beach Head Engineering - Tunnel Rat, Zap Medical - Stalker, Spirit Communications - Dial Tone, Mainframe I base my Joeverse primarily on filecards and secondarily on the comics. To me, the cartoon is fun, but not canon. So, Falcon is pretty much a bad ass special forces operative, just like the file card says and not the cocky lazy bum from the movie.

My Special Forces team would begin with the actual Joes that are Special Forces:
(the Possiblys are ones that aren't confirmed in the filecards, but enough information is there that it's a pretty safe bet that they are) Claymore, Recondo (possibly), Outback (possibly), Drop Zone, Falcon, Beach Head (possibly), Snake Eyes, Kamakura, Pysche-Out Commander: Claymore (higher rank then Falcon) Assistant Commander: Falcon Operations Sergeant: Drop Zone Intelligence: Pysche-Out Weapons: Outback, Snake-Eyes Engineering: Tunnel Rat, Kamakura Medical: Stalker, Spirit Communications: Breaker (worked on Project Gamma, a good candicate for SF), Dial Tone

Claymore is an excellent choice. I always forget about him, probably because I never owned him. I almost chose Breaker for communications (his language skills alone would probably get him a spot), but I included Mainframe instead because of his computer skills.

Nice job, Tanksmasher. You pulled up some long lost Joes for the team. You definitely did your research.
I had some trouble with MOS as well. So, some of them I threw in just because I couldn't imagine an elite squad without them (like Beach Head). And I honestly never even looked at the ranks, so I have to say that I'm really impressed with your list.
