After more fruitless debates than I care to recall, It's obvious that we are never going to find common ground concerning the current GI Joe product as long as the argument is framed the way it has been. This is not a thread to debate Rise of Cobra or the current toyline. The point of this thread is to pose a simple question. What do you want from GI Joe?
I don't want to hear anything about target audiences or the general public. Nothing about what you think will make money. This question is for you. If you were incharged of making a GI Joe movie, cartoon, and a GI Joe toyline for yourself, what would it be like? Oh, just to be up front... I'm betting it won't be like RoC, that's my angle. And of course I have an angle. Last edited by Headman; 12-15-2009 at 12:09 PM.. |

i want better versions of a good chunk of the original 13, ripcord, blowtorch, major bludd, and, most of all, firefly. i don't expect all new molds or anything, just smarter use of existing parts and maybe some better accessories. that is all.

I want some cool looking figures with lots of detail and accessories that have a spec ops military vibe to 'em. No ninjas, or at least kept to a minimum. No gaudy colors for the Joes.
I want a Cobra that is scary and definately world threatening, on the cutting edge and beyond, can have some pretty crazy stuff. I want modern looks, real world looks.

I'm a dreamer. I want my entire ARAH collection in 25th/ME form. I never wanted a live action movie, so it really doesn't bother me what they do with that as long as the changes made in the movie do not find their way into the toyline or the cartoon show, which would also be ARAH based.

Ya know, I was happy with the Resolute cartoon and toys. Both the designs of the characters and the animation was updated but with some classic touches to give it a nice balance, so I'd have to say I would want more Resolute type of product

I don't really care if they redo any more vintage designs. I want new stuff. New and updated designs (don't really even need a connection to the vintage either, just as long as it's cool).

For me it's all about the vehicles. I don't give a ish about the figures. The figures would be cool but the vehicles would be awesome! No stupid Mole Pods or crappy Armadillo tanks, no mini out of scale Apache copters & no giant $100 boats on wheels. My line would have the most awesome vehicles you've ever seen.
Yes! You all would have a fully updated version of the Skystriker with all the bells & whistles! And you wouldn't have any of the bull Hasbro throws at you. Pffft......Mole Pod!?!?! |

I love the Armadillo. One of my top 5 favorite Joe vehicles.
I can't wait for the PoC one with the camoflauge. I'm getting a ton of those. My "want" would be more cooler and smaller vehicles. I don't really need anything big, don't have the space for it anyways. Bravo would be the biggest. More jeeps, couple tanks, and lots of smaller stuff.
