I've seen repros go as much as 25.00. this has to be the most expensive vehicle part I've ever seen. Cost 3 cents to make back in 85 I'm sure.
My Flagg will definitly be lacking this piece ........ http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...TODAY.m238.lVI |

Ya know, I've been trying to figure this out too. I know this is one the most fragile parts on the Flagg, but I can't justify paying that much for 1. The guy who sells the repros needs to lower his price too. $25 for repro is a rip off IMO.

I saw a flagg the other day that was almost complete and had this part and it only hit 107. surely the rest of the flagg is worth more than 30 if this thing goes for 80 alone.........again, guys driving up prices in general because of what they paid for it on ebay.

i have been watching auctions like this for a while. my flagg is complete other than one antennae part so i been trying to track it down. from what i have seen, it would be way more profitable to piece it out. it would be more of a pain to do that though as far as shipping.
that piece is notorious for being expensive, so is the green valve wheel on the bridge floor. just common missing pieces are rare and go for a lot. fortunately, i never lost those pieces, ouch! |

Just about anything is worth more in pieces. I bought a 64 Ford Galaxy for $500.00 once when i tried to sell it the best offer i got was $200.00. But when i parted it out made close to $2000.00 off of it.

I have parted out several flaggs on ebay, and always ALWAYS gotten more for it in parts than complete, or near complete. I've stripped them down to the 4 tower parts, and couple pieces of unergrid, the bow and stern, and the decking. Then the stripped flagg would go for a good $50+ at the end, but that might not happen now that the shipping would be so high through the USPS.
$75 for the fantail deck railing isn't horrible, the last couple I sold went over $100. The full fuel trailer would hit almost $40, deck clips would run close to $3 each, and at one point the deck pins fetched $25 each. Mast Cap $25+, unbroken mast tower $30+, mast accessories $15+, crane engine cover $20+, and that is before we get to the small cabin items and the retainer hook assembly.
