Loving Ghost Squad. I love the seamless integration of your own ideas coupled with what I like to call the best of the filecards thread. This is the next evolutionary step of that thread and you are doing a superlative job. Awesome work

Awesome. You basically have Zulu's Clandestine guys together. Nice work Troy. I have always had Snake-Eyes, Lowlight and Mercer together, add the silent weapons guys. Nice. Where's the rest of Ninja Force?

Sharks in the water pt 1
The luxury yacht cut thru the calm night waters, it had just crossed into international waters off the coast of the Sudan. The captain was nervous, rightly so, pirate activity had seen an increase in recent months, but this particular area had been spared so far, but he was still nervous. It had taken a lot, but he had managed to convince the Yacht’s owner to hire some extra security guards. He hoped they weren’t needed, if they weren’t he’d hear about it when they made land in South Africa, but that would be better than the alternative. The yacht was 100 feet long, 4 stories and had a crew of 20. With the additional guards it brought the crew to 30. That didn’t include the owner, an oil rich sheik and his entourage which consisted mostly of scantily clad young women. The Captain started his rounds, avoiding the private suites of the owner, where he had two guards posted. He didn’t like having the extra guards, but he could live with it. He was rounding the walkway onto the rear deck when he noticed one of the crew standing by the rear railing. Was she flashing a light? “Miss,” the captain said approaching, it was too dark to make out who it was. “Shouldn’t you be about your duties?” The woman turned, she wore the white outfit of one of the crew and had short dark hair. Her features were striking. Marie, that was her name, they had picked her up at their last port, to replace another member that had fallen sick. She had proved very capable at her duties and the Captain had taken a liking to her, as had the owner, which to the Captain meant hands off. “Ah, Marie,” he said stepping closer. “I did not recognize you. What are doing out here?” He noticed that she was carrying a flashlight, and wasn’t trying to hide it. “Just admiring the night Cherie,” she replied showing just the right amount of chagrin at being caught away from her duties, her accent french. “It’s such a nice night.” The captain came alongside her at the railing and she turned back to the view, the flashlight going into her left hand. He stood there for a minute, letting the night’s silence envelope them. The owner of the yacht was occupied with his other guests, if he was going to show Marie his interest, this was the time. “Yes it is,” he said taken a small step closer to her. “I suppose it won’t hurt anyone to spend a couple minutes admiring the view,” he said and turned to look at her. She smiled at him. He was about to say something when a noise caught his attention. It sounded like boat engines coming, heading towards them. No lights but it was definitely engines. “What,” he started but didn’t get to finish as Marie stepped back and swung the flashlight at his head. He dropped. She looked over and watched as three small boats came alongside, two of them heading to the port and starboard sides, the other heading to starboard but keeping back near the rear. She headed that way just as a set of two grappling hooks arched up into the night sky, led by a quiet boom. The hooks landed and pulled tight to the railing. She glanced up and down the deck watching to see if anyone had heard the noise. A minute later a hand came over the railing and the rest of the body followed. The man was dressed in black, long black trench coat whipping in the sea breeze. He climbed over the railing and landed on deck turning towards her, others quickly followed. “How many luv,” he asked her. He had a heavy british accent. “10 private guards, 20 crew, the owner and his 5 guests, all female,” she replied leading him towards where the captain lie crumpled on the deck. He reached up and took off the black mask, long blond hair kept in a ponytail. He nudged the captain with his foot, the man groaned. He pulled a headset on and clicked the button. “Torch, Ripper, mates,” he said into it. “We got 10 guards, 25 crew and guests. Go quietly as long as possible. Remember the booty is worth more than the noise.” “I think the poor dear was quite taken with me,” Marie said indicating the captain who the man was lifting up and leaning against the railing. “You are a heartbreaker,” he said lifting the captain’s feet up. “Why thank you Buzzer Cherie,” she said. “Now give us a hand luv.” She reached down and helped Buzzer leverage the unconscious captain up and over the railing. They looked over and watched the captain plummet until they heard the satisfying splash. “Off to work,” he said turning from the railing and drawing a silenced pistol. He drew another one and handed it to her. ******* On the port side the smaller boat pulled alongside the much larger yacht. On the boat were four men, all dressed in black. One of them didn’t wear a mask, he had dark hair and beard. His hair wasn’t shaved to the scalp and he had a Mohawk. He had a night vision imager and was looking at the decks of the ship. “Second deck, midway,” he said to the man next to him, he had a heavy Australian accent. The other man pulled a long rifle with a large scope out of a water proof bag and set it to his shoulder. The man moved the silenced barrel until he saw where the other was pointing. He sighted and fired, the shot barely making a noise. Up on the ship, midway down the second deck, a dark shape fell with hardly a thud. “Get the grapples up,” the man with the Mohawk said putting the imagers back into one of his suit’s pouches. “Good shot Zandar.” “Right Ripper,” another man said and pulled the trigger on his launcher. Up and up the grapples went, pulling a rope ladder with them. One end of the ladder was attached to the small boats deck and it tightened as the grapples reached the highest point of their flight. It slackened as they landed on the deck and the men pulled the rope ladder tight as the small boat drew alongside the yacht. Ripper took the lead and quickly climbed up the rope, two of the others followed, the last staying to keep the boat steady. Up on deck he drew a silenced pistol and pointed to the aft, indicating the two others should go that way. He cocked his head listening to a voice come over the headset. “10 and 25,” he whispered as he set off. ******** Starboard side a similar scene was happening. A man with brown hair and muttonchops, Australian accent, was pointing up to the deck. “Second deck, front,” he said. “First deck, mid.” Two shots followed his words, two thuds from the ship. “Grapples,” he said stepping back from the edge. Once the rope ladder was in place he quickly climbed up. He came onto the deck near the body of the guard. He quickly searched it, finding nothing of value, and grabbed the man’s assault rifle. “This’ll do,” he whispered to himself as the other two men climbed onto the yacht. He listened to a report coming in over his headset. “Buzzer says we got 10 cards and 25 civvies.” “Right Torch,” one of the other man said as the three of them headed for the nearest door.

Great story Troynos. Dreadnoks and piracy--they're like mash potatos and gravy. They go great together.

So, I was thinking about Bankshot and his prosthesis. I'm wondering if one could go a step further with that concept and use the Accelerator Suits as a way for Joes who've suffered spinal cord injuries to be able to walk again. It's something I'm considering for my own 'verse. It would be for troops who have low-cord injuries, paraplegics, not necessarily for quadraplegics, since the wearer would have to be able to have some ability to move to begin with. Food for thought...
