GI Joe ACU Patch Placement (Help)

As stated in my costume thread I need some help in patch placement:

http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...n-costume.html

"So help me out. I ordered some patches and need some informed help. I got ACU name tapes that say "G.I. Joe" and "Sarge"...my real life nickname with E-5 rank to go with the name obviously.

I have the the reversed subdued flag for the right arm (I believe in ARAH)...that goes on the pocked flap over the IR right?

Also I have a subdued Joe movie log 3"x3" to use as a unit patch...that should cover left pocket right?

What type of anything should go under the flag on the right pocket? Or nothing?"

The tapes go on like this:

You wear the subdued GI Joe patch (your current organization's insignia) on the left sleeve pocket. The subdued flag goes on the right. You can also put your former organization's unit insignia (if any) on the right sleeve.

Your rank should be indicated by subdued collar insignia (BDU cut and ACU cut uniforms) or a small rank insignia on the chest hook-and-loop rank insignia holder and your headgear (ACU cut uniform), not a name tape.

The following picture gives a nice rough guide for patch placement:

I just hope the advice didn't come too late for the OP's costume party or whatever it is he's using the costume for.

Wrong. The right arm is reserved for Combat Patches only. Meaning that you had to be deployed to a combat zone with the unit of the patch you're wearing on the right arm. If you've been in 5 units since being in the military but you've never been to combat, then you can only wear your current unit's patch on your left arm and nothing on the right.

This may be different in Canada but this is how it is in the US military.

Ah, my bad. I neglected to mention the combat requirement. It was mentioned in my old copy of AR 670-1, I just forgot to mention it.

I got most of my stuff now. Attached is a picture of the jacket. I will buy a second Joe unit patch to use on the combat arm. I would think it disrespectful to use a real army units. Thanks for the help guys.
