Now I know kids will buy these...but since Ive been buying these 25th Joes all the way back in Sept...Ive not seen one kid look at them. Mostly all I see are 20-40 yr old men drooling and buying these. Dont get me wrong Ive heard some of say youve seen kids beg their mother for them...but on my end I havent. I remember being 7,8,9 and if it wasnt on TV...or in the movies....or in a comic book I didnt care about it. Hell Sigma 6 had a cartoon and those toys stayed on the shelf at my Walmart and Target... I wouldn't say scalpers are to blame at all. Sure they buy the stuff and try to sell it on eBay at higher prices, but sometimes that doesn't work for them. The big problem is distribution and the stores not ordering enough. SUPPLY AND DEMAND! Hasbro and the stores just aren't handling it right. Because ordering 2 or 3 cases at a time just isn't cutting it. There's only 8 figures in a case. So that's 16 to 24 figures they put out. You have a few collectors come by and POOF! all gone!

I need to vent. No, but seriously, I went to a Wal-Mart earlier today and saw a Tomax & Xamot 2-pack swapped with a Stalker & hooded v2 CC. The guy even took the time to replace the pics on the front with the Stalker & CC artwork! I have to say that I am really starting to hate these swappers. And unlike blaming empty shelves on supposed scalpers, there is no question about it when you see a figure swap - and it sucks!!!
^^^^^^ The horse is the damn figure swapper in this picture - lol!

I know what you mean....I saw a SE SS comic pack (Wave 1) and that awful blue snake eyes was stolen??? Huh? Who in the world would steal such an ugly fig? Even the freaking Doc stickers were still there.

There's one that regularly comes into my Walmart. Don't know his real name but we call him Tony Stewart. He's a dead ringer for the NASCAR driver.

When I was collecting the He-Man reboot a few years back, I resorted to scalper tactics to get figures I wanted - getting up early to get to wal-mart or opening boxes right off the pallet. It only paid off for me on a couple occassions. None of that stuff anymore.
I buy online or pre-order 75% of every figure I buy now. |

Scalpers exist thats no joke but i've never seen one ever and the pegs here are empty 9 times out of 10, and I like scalpers. Why you may ask they help feed the frenzy for all things 25th plus they are a scapegoat for all whom can't find figures, but I learned something, don't hunt! I went to Walmart last night and to my suprise they had wave 1,2,3 cp 3 cases of wave 4 with no hint of wave 3 so that means new stock is coming in and I actually bought wave 4 only because I didn't have it but I wasn't looking and it kinda felt good to know that there is no rush! Take your time folks, wait it out and you won't have to worry about scalpers because they've bought and sold their share and there will be plenty for all!

i know a real scalper.
he lives in laredo tx. and has a store in the mall there. (mall del notre) its off i35 at like exit 4 or 5. (right before you cross into mexico) his name is frank and hes a cool guy. hes like 55 or so if i had to guess. but he goes to all the stores everyday when they open up and buys out all the joes, lots of hot wheels star wars wrestling and transformers too. he even takes trips all around to look for stuff. then he resells it all for at least double the retail price in his store in the mall. and thats all he does. its the only job he has. (he sells sports memoribilial and other stuff too btw) last time i was there and talking to him he told me he sold some astronomical amount of stuff and grossed like 64k in december alone. and well.... i honestly believe him. ive seen people walk into his store and drop lots of money on toys. like the guy who paid 40 bucks for an ig destro lol. anyway.... just thought i'd share and tell you all to drop by if youre out there.

I went to the Target in Buffalo and I saw a lot of older people in the toy isles, two of them looked liked collectors. Then over comes this guy who starts buying up all of the SW evolution packs and walks off. He also probably got the G.I. Joes too but I got a Destro single figure and left before he could take it.
