I second that. wheres Operation Dragon fire. same general plot as the others. Race around the world trying to stop cobro from getting/controlling "x". But this time, a nice change of plot with Scoop being a spy and then changing sides, Cobra killing his family to get him to join. etc...and Alley Viper was cool in that one, voiced by Jim Byrnes

Definately my fave of the bunch.

Followed closely behind by "Revenge of Cobra."

"Pyramid" has some weak moments & get's a bit cheesy...

"Arise Serpentor" is 1 episode too long, the 5th part where they attck Washington seems soooo drawn out compared to the pacing of the rest of that mini-series...

I voted for Revenge Of Cobra because of the Weather Dominator story, but I fell in love with GI Joe from ARAH. Snake Eyes sacrifice, the cool robots, just a great show all the way around.

"Arise Serpentor, Arise". That was the mini-series that got me into G.I. Joe for the first time. I had sampled G.I. Joe before but was never really intrigued by the series or the toys before Serpentor's reign. However, after I saw that 5-parter I just went "WOW I need to get into G.I. Joe." There were just so many things I found cool about that mini-series, from the COBRA Vipers and B.A.T.s, to the vehicles like the STUN and Night Raven, how it was concentrated storywise more on the bad guys, COBRA's island base, and of course Serpentor's 'Frankenstein' inspired origins.
This is my all time favorite story of the animated G.I. Joe sagas.

well i loved them all but im goin wit pyramid of darkness. it was tha first time i heard tha song they played when snake eyes and shipwreck were on tha run. and then tha scenes with tomax and xamot were great. and so much more. long live tha fight between g.i. joe and cobra!!!

'Arise Serpentor, Arise' is the one I can watch over and over and never tire of. It's mainly because the episodes are organized so well, with the basic Joe format (Going around the world and trying to beat Cobra in finding something) but it moves from a great first episode, to a great body where they chase each other around, then Serpentor's creation, and then the huge finale with the attack on Washington where everybody's everything is seen and a huge brawl ensues.

I don't even like most of the characters but the story lines were the most interesting. Cobra Commander's still living in a cartoon world and sincerely can't understand why nobody appreciates him, the Joes keep overestimating Cobra and for once have little idea what they're up to, Serpentor shows what Cobra Commander would be if he actually did have the will and bravado his peers want him to have (and not in a good way), and that Cobra Commander actually knows more about what he's doing than he looks like.

...and looking back at what I've written I really watch that mini-series way too much.

The reason I like "Arise, Serpentor, Arise" is that this was the final season of GI Joe, and they started it well.

I don't know about you guys, but I really like SSG Slaughter. I also like the duplicity of Cobra Commander.

I am not really a fan of Dr. Mindbender, but I do like the concept of stealing DNA from the world's most fearsome tyrants and dictators to create the ultimate Cobra warrior.

Innovative concept, isn't it?

It's not like some fanboy can say the writers stole something from Star Wars when they wrote this 5 part series.
