Those of you who grew up in the Chicago area -- did they introduce the GI Joe cartoons through WGN/Channel 9's "The Bozo Show" ? I'm sure that's how I remember it... |

The pared-down cast (on both sides) and use of characters that I'd first seen in the weekly black & white "Action Force" comic makes watching it a very warm & rewarding experience.

I watched the cartoon in the morning before school on WGN "Bozo" and after school on Fox.
I have a copy of the entire Gi Joe cartoon collection that was released by Rhino on dvd+/- format. Anybody wanting to buy can let me know. |

Everything I knew about them was contained in their file cards. I remember racing home from school each day to see the next episode. And I remember believing (wrongly) that the initial series was more dramatic, more realistic, and more violent than the later cartoons.

I think it was on a Friday night. I say this because I remember staying the night at a friends house and we had our Joes together and sat around watching it. Does anyone else remember this being true? I do remember seeing it in seperate episodes after school, but I swear it was release as one whole movie at first. Anyone? |
