It's looking good, and as far what anyone thinks, I say if it makes you happy go with it. It took me 23 years to get one, and I don't regret it one bit.
Yo Joe!!! BTW, new parts were just listed on ebay, still in the package. Check em out. |

Just another update. added a few items:
missles launcher base arrestor base w/ string fuel trailer now complete crane base and derrick assembly I'm going to coat the superstructure one more time. I switched between 3 paints. Started with testors model maker paint ( what a rip off, 3 oz. for 5 bucks and all 5 cans spit like crazy ) switched to krylon white but it was too glossy. settled on rustoleum white for plastic paint. Going to paint the crane base and missle launcher and box when that comes in this week. All told theres about 225 involved in this already, I see it ending up around 400 to 450 by current part prices, so I may slow down a bit after this and buy 1 part a week. |

I just sent my mom on a mission to find my Flagg. I know we still have it somewhere. It's boxed up in storage somewhere, just not sure where. I was talking to her about it this weekend, and she said she'd start looking. I'm sure the wife will be thrilled if I come home with a big huge barge.

McKee - I will start the same project in a couple months. Dug out all my stuff and to my surprise it's in great shape. Very little yellowing and it seems I have just about all the parts. Need to start digging through everything.

I wish I had one when I was a kid. I was only lucky enough to get a Defiant Space Shuttle Complex (sarcasm) When I get back from Iraq I plan digging it out of the shed and working on restoring it. |

The only thing I would invest from Testors is their cans of Dull Coat. It's another clear coat "satin" type finish except this stuff leaves NO GLOSS whatsoever as Krylon's "satin" clear coat will leave a semi-gloss.
