I went in to a local K Mart tonight to see if anything new had popped up, unfortunately there wasn't. I did however see quite a few cobra legions sets along with 1 joe 5 pack. One of the legions set had every figure removed and the package just left there like an empty shell. It's to bad that still happens. I have seen this quite a few times now, once at K Mart and a few times at Target. It irritates me when i see this and yet i know it is going to happen. There were shoplifters when i was a kid and there will be when my son grows up. The funny thing is i knew a kid back in the day who stole joes. He had a collection that made mine look tiny by comparison, but at least i collected them honestly. I don't really have a purpose for this thread and i have no idea if one has been made before, i just wanted to get some of this off of my chest and to say to all of you who collect the honest way, thank you...

Oh goodness I hate these people.
I once found a Joe 5-pack at K-Mart that was taped on the sides, and when I opened it the insides were completely filled with plastic bags (I guess to make it not feel so empty or something) with everything else stolen. I hate the feeling of finding a card or box and realizing that it's been swapped, and that somebody who's dishonest is working harder than I am to find these figures.

That's crazy.. It's a task to even pull the figures out of the 5-packs, they must have found a nice spot to where no cameras or people were watching.

Well the thing about K Mart in my area is that there is probably 6 or 7 employees working in there, every time i go in. I guess the lack of employees makes it easy to get away with stealing... |

I just recently saw a bunch of hotwheels opned on the shelf at Wal-Mart. They were the Mystery ones that have the opaque black buble. Some pathetic collector couldn't part with his $1.74 to find the ones he needed. Drives me insane. My kid loves the mystery cars and I would have bought them just to surprise her with them.

I've seen a few stolen or swapped figures, but not really that much. In fact, I can only think of two examples I've seen. Although, the other day I did see a JLU Doomsday and another fig I can't remember just sitting loose on the shelf at Target.

I really hate seeing that. The other day I was at TRU and saw a GI Joe 5 pack. When I opened it, it was filled with the Legions pack figures. Not sure if that's a factory error or somebody made a swap. Either way, that's a scumbag thing to do.
