So do many kids buy GI Joe?

my 4 year old LOVES the 25th ann. stuff. I gave him a battle platform, and he keeps us busy for hours.

We don't have kids yet and my nephew's are 2 and 3....still a little too young, but I will introduce them to the wonderful world of G.I. Joe. Right now they love hot wheels. One of my nieces, who is now 13, use to come over and play with all my original Joes all the time I even bought her some, but she said she's now is too old for them, LOL. So My brother sent me the ones she use to play with and now they are added to my collection.

I have seen more adults after the 25th, but I have seen some kids. A Cartoon (which I think will happen either this fall before the movie or the following one after the movie.) and some commercials would definitely peek their interest. Once the movie comes out, I expect an explosion for Joes.

I rarely see any kids interested at the stores, but they also seem to be out most of the time, so how could they show interest? I have no doubt the movie will create a whole new generation of interest in the toys. Also, I plan to indoctrinate my little one properly. He just turned one, but I've got a full collection of 25th figures with his name on it when he's old enough. He'd BETTER like Joe, or I'll have to start an ebay store...

I saw a bot about 10 yrs old walking with his mother and he stopped at the 25th section and I herd him said "Ooooh wow mommy" lol. His Mother asked him what character he wanted and the little boy picked up SS.

I never would have thought a child would have such knowledge of the 80's Joe toys. But i'm just as excited and flattered as he had an interest of what I use to play with as a kid in the 80s.

I don't think kids even have to have any knowledge of the old 80's line. The new figures look cool enough to attract a 10-year-old's attention who may not even be aware that they are based on 25-year-old designs.
