Hope you all had a great Halloween, mine was amazing. I just finished perfoming in a show for Halloween Horror Nights here in Orlando and last night was out cast party. what started out as one guy wanting to go as Shipwreck as joke turned into 15 of us dressing up as Classic cartoon Joe's. My girlfriend suprised me by dressing up as Lady Jaye and look so damn hot!!! We all agreed it was the best Halloween party any of us had ever been to, we were like 12 year kids the whole night. We even made PSA's which I will post soon...warning, they are NSFW. Hope you guys enjoy the pics!

Amazing costumes, all!
Like many in this thread (and the other Halloween thread), I went ahead and purchased the official Cobra Commander costume, but felt a bit cheated when it arrived at my door. This thing was definitely not worth the $80+ I spent right out of the box. My wife and I immediately began to modify it to remove some of the cheese-factor (the half belt and fake boots in particular were so lame). She sculpted various added details out of sculpy and hand painted them (belt buckle, pins). I purchased a SWAT-style duty belt and modified it, and found some Darth Vader gloves on clearance that seemed to work better than the foam-ish ones that came with the outfit. I think it came out wonderful, though still not quite cosplay quality. I was a hit at a Halloween party, especially when I got in character and issued an ultimatum to the other guests as soon as I arrived. Haha. I ssuppose I can share picsss with you Freaksss... but only in exchange for your utter sssurrender to COBRA!!! You have FIVE HOURS to comply! "I assure you, failure to elect my COBRA care plan will result in you ALL being covered... in your own blood! HAHAHA!" Well, well. What have we here?? You've fallen right into my trap, Flint! My amazing S.H.R.I.N.K. device will allow me to DOMINATE THE WORLD! HAHAHA! |

okay, i think i finally figured out how to post pics here. third times the charm!
i convinced my wife to go as the baroness. i went for the lazy, store-bought cobra commander costume, but i think my wife put together a pretty decent homemade baroness get-up. also, nothing to do with gi joe, but one of my friends went as alan from the hangover, and ended up winning the costume contest at the bar that we were at in adams morgan, dc, so i figured i'd throw in a pic or two of him, too. more to come! |

It's not GI Joe...but it's Hasbro though! I decided to be Optimus Prime this year. My kids wanted me to wear a costume, so I had to do it big! Took me about 40 hours to complete the costume. It was a hit at the mall my family and I went to. Eventually, we had to leave the mall, I was getting swarmed by so many for pictures... Macy's actually complained I was drawing too much attention with my helmet on...haters. The cops were cool when they told me about it though. Some funny moments (pictured) were a kid in a Megatron costume being scared to get close for a pic his mom wanted him to take. In the other pic, I'm taking a shot with my mini-me
One idiot guy stepped on my "toe" and broke it off, but it was quickly repaired before I headed back out into the street. Crossing the street with it was interesting...No lie, I almost got hit by a truck...

Those goggles are perfect! Where did you find them?

The solution is to find a hidden ring-sized slot in the wall and sacrifice a magic ring to open the door. If you lack a ring, one is provided for you in another room, in a treasure chest filled with poisonous vipers. |
