I'm just curious, not playing cute or anything.
Did G.I. Joe kind of influenced you to enter the Military? As a kid or as a teen? I'm just curious.

Yes, big time. You can only watch so many episodes of a kick-ass military unit shooting things before you want to do it yourself.

Absolutely! It was the 12 inch G.I. Joes of the early 1970's, and the Adventure Team that captivated my childhood, but that's still G.I. Joe.
When the Real American Hero started, I was already leaving home for bootcamp. Now after my retirement from the military, my sons are playing with G.I. Joe (25th aniv. figures), and wanting to serve when old enough. Yo Joe! |

Yes, just after i bought my Beachhead Figure in 1988, i asked my stepbrother how to get such an awesome suit in real life
15 years later i did my 9 Month Basic Military Service. But they made no Beachhead out of me, instead i became Law & Order |

Maybe, although joining the military is what a lot of the men in my family did after high school. I mean, I went in to be a diesel mechanic, so I obviously had no strong desire to be at the front of a fight. Anybody with any sense knows better than that.

I'm not quite sure because I never wanted to join the military growing up. I just sort of woke up one day and enlisted. But as a huge Joe fan growing up, it is possible there was some repressed feelings in the back of my head.

kinda the other way around. my drill sergeant was a huge fan of GI Joe. so when the 25th anniversary figures came out I decided to just buy snake eyes. I figured that would be my only one. then I bought hooded CC. after that I was hooked.
