So we filmed. There was that scene and then there is the other scene that would throw a lot of people off only because it's partially incorrect. In the video, after I'm done painting the picture, I walk up to a glass and put my hand on it. We were trying to do an homage of the scene from the M.A.S.S. Device where Snake Eyes gets cut off from the rest of the team and puts his hand up to the glass as the radiation gas starts to fill up in the cave. We knew it would be wrong because the outfit did not match with his first version gear - we even youtube'd it to verify, but we did it anyway. It worked out nice in the video regardless if the idea was totally missed, right?
Were you hanging out with unemployed Skeletor at all at SDCC? I think I actually took your picture when you were in Downtown San Diego. |

I actually thought that might have been what was going on but I didn't know if it was intentional until I read this post. Personally I doubt having the proper "Commando" setup would make it anymore blatant honestly and even if the reference is missed it's still a pretty touching somber moment.

I know that Dan and Kevin really enjoyed making it being fans of the ARAH line. I told them about the video making front page on the Tank and I've also passed along a lot of good words from what pretty much everyone has said about the video. It also made front page on E-Online. I had no idea about it getting on the New York Times - that's quite a compliment! I'm glad everyone liked it. Thanks again for the welcome!

Thanks for sharing Snake Eyes LLC! I can honestly say I enjoyed this more than the movie.
I have a tendency to groan every time I hear about Hollywood making a parody of superhero or sci-fi shows into movies. After watching this I think it may not be a bad idea. Joe would have been a good candidate for something like this. I think we've all seen so many "dark" renditions of comic heroes it would be a welcome change. |
