EDIT: With the greenlight for sequels, the possibility of this happening is radiating.
Seeing RoC briskly selling, movie anticipation building, EDIT: THEATERS FILLING, and the big Trilogy coming; prospects of a Build-a-Flagg glimmer with possibility. Before flying-off-the-cuff in our usual in-fighting on will it happen or not, I'd prefer reserving this thread as a simple; exploration of ideas. IDEA #1. 2 [re]painted jets + 2 same-molded catapults = 99 To form the legendary "99," the front of a new Flagg; I was thinking of 2 differently painted jets seen in the movie SEQUEL or Resolute toon. Example, the YF-23 jets seen in Resolute. Another YF-23 jet can come from a MOVIE SEQUEL version, painted drastically different in color aka squadron scheme; from a different squad in G.I.Joe 2 the Sequel. Each of the 2 different [re]painted jets will come with the same catapult; painted with a number "9". When 2 catapults [milked from their own same mold] connects, it forms the number "99." Thus forms the 1st front piece of a Build-a-Flagg. Selling 2 jets with a catapult, can be affordable. Its spaced-out to sell at different years. One jet will sell during the Sequel, the second, sold during the toon released the year after. This economical and affordable approach benefits both us and Hasbro; because it allows them to milk the same molds, yet gives us 2 different products; spaced out to sell. Now feel free to add-on my idea. How can the next piece of a Build-a-Flagg be done economically and affordably? How can we achieve, in a realistic way [for us and Hasbro] a really bad-ass Super Structure for a Build-a-Flagg; sold during G.I. Joe 3. Then, how do we end it with a well-made end-piece; a nice stern end of the ship, sold during the Trilogy DVD on some futuristic Purple-Ray disc sold 4 or 6 years from now? Here's a fine example of 2 [re]painted YF-23 jets. Once again, each of the 2 jets should come with one catapult; to connect and form the twin-catapults of the Flagg's front = bow.

i think the f35 would be better since the f23 isn't used in or air force or navy, the f22 took its pplace for our modern fighter jet

let's see, the "build the weather dominator" went real well. dvd set 4 and 5 were everywhere! this concept should be real easy for hasbro to pull off.
seriously though, it would be cool to do that. but there would always be new pieces that were "impossible to get". might as well spend the trouble on getting a vintage one, piece by piece. |

Hasbro could do play sets based on sections of the flag that could fit into the over all Build-a-Flagg idea.

F35=BEAUTIFUL BIRD! But its a Vertical TakeOff & Landing jet that can take-off like a helicopter.
Pairing a F35 with a catapult is like pairing a helicopter with a catapult. Let's keep the YF23 Skystriker. It can still exist in Cobra versus GIJoe fantasyland. But also let's keep that really cool F35 VTOL, too. Just sell it with the landing strip portion of the Flagg. Hasbro made the Naboo Royal Starship from Star Wars Episode 1 at over 3 feet long. So at 2 foot 9 inches, the F35 can even be made exact to 1:18 scale. |

The only way there'd be even a glimmer of hope that this would happen is if the Flagg appears in the GI Joe sequel. Based on the movie novelization, I can see that happening, but it's all up in the air for now.
