Not get married, stop dating, do not drink beer or any alcohol, cancel all of your subscriptions to TV, internet, phone electricity or set them to the bare minimum services allowable (like get vonage or magick jack that will save you $20-$50 a month, thats 5 figures right there!). Eat basic foods like cereal and peanut butter and jelley sandwiches or salads or quesadeas (cheese and tortillas only). Only Drink water...do not buy snack foods/cokes from vending machines or impulse food purchases while your at the reigster waiting to check out for any of the family members except emergency rationed water bottles (buy these at Sam's in bulk and have the wife carrythem in her gym locker bag I mean err her purse). Do not pay for fancy hair and make-up for the family if they want super perms and nails done they need to get jobs themselves and pay for them, you shoul dnot be responsible for thier hobbys if they make you feel bad for yous end of story, cut that out of the budget quickly. Just get basic hair cuts down at your local barber, if they want better well let them get out and have a lemonade stand or go get real jobs.
There are a lot of things you can give up..the question is...can you in the name of the Joes!

I've been collecting many different toy lines for over 20 years, with G.I.Joe being my main focus. When new Joe stuff comes out I head to eBay, and start selling other lines I've collected: Star Wars, Ghostbusters, Big Jim, Tmnt, MOTU, etc. Once the money starts building in my Paypal account, then the fun begins.
I find this a great way to clean out figures I don't want anymore, making room for new ones. It almost feels like trading, as no physical money is exchanged, alleviating any guilt you might feel if you had purchased them in a store, not that I've ever felt that. This is how I completed my ARAH figure collection (82-94), and also purchased most of my 25th, and ROC stuff. Tip: It will also keep your partner happy, cleaning out your old stuff. They'll think you've given up collecting, that is until the huge parcels of Joe stuff start arriving in the mail. |

it's easy if there is nothing in your area to buy! But for me i take care of the bills wife and kids first and if i don't have any extra money i don't buy anything or i sell some other joe stuff to buy new stuff or trade on the tank.
or make a list of stuff i'd like to buy then save and buy one at a time. |
