Also, sorta, Wade Collins, a former member of the famous Vietnam War unit that included Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Stalker, Dick Saperstein, Ramon Escobedo. Wade was left for dead in a firefight but survived to become a POW, then returned home to a country that had no place for him, so he drifted into Cobra’s orbit and went on to become one of the very first Crimson Guards. But eventually, with the help of the Joes, he came to see that he was wrapped up in something that was all about domination and greed, and basically everything that he’d originally tried to fight against, so he owned his mistake and walked away.
He didn’t personally become a Joe, but he got to be friends again with many who were, and then taught his son everything he’d learned...and now that son has recently become a Joe himself, Throwdown, and even more recently become a new Snake Eyes (one of two; a story for another day...) This is all material from Larry’s comic btw... |
