ARAH is my fav era of Gijoe. With that said, I think a movie based in the present would not only showcase older members, but new joes as well.

Here is mine:

Storm Shadow-Sho Kosugi(ninja master and famous for his ninja roles in various ninja movies)

Snake Eyes-Chuck Norris(this is not a joke, watch him in "Delta Force"-very commando like and not a hint of ninjutsu, just like how all of us want Snake Eyes to be)

General Hawk-the guy that played a downed F-15 Eagle pilot in "Red Dawn". He usually has roles as a high ranking military official.

Stalker-Lawrence Fishburn(though I am trying to think of someone just as or more gruff but younger).

Shipwreck-Kurt Russell. Most notably for his role in "Big Trouble in Little China". Its his attitude man.

Destro-Sean Connery. Not only is that guy scottish but the role would be very fitting, regal with an underlying strategic tone.

Baroness-Catherine Zeta Jones.

Lady Jaye-Catherine Bell.

Quick Kick-Philip Rhee from "Best of the Best". Looks just like him!

Flint-Andy Garcia

And Roadblock would be Micheal Clark Duncan!!

okay so everyone has their favs and preferences but having done some casting for an independent film recently I thought I'd take a realistic shot at this

Hawk = David Morse (the rock, green mile) 'nuff said

Roadblock/Heavy Duty= M.C. Duncan is a popular choice and a good one but I'm gonna go with Terry Crews (longest yard, 6th day,) guy is huge and a little meaner looking then duncan.

Scarlett= Natasha Henstridge (species, ghosts of mars) perfect for an action flick and she can pull off techy dialogue. also consider Kristanna Loken here

Gung-Ho= Steve Austin (longest yard, wwe, condemned) he;s been decent in his past two film appearances and the guy screams toughness

snake-eyes = ok,ok nobody sees his face ...sure, but how about jason statham (transporter, italian job) he's got the build and obviously can handle some stunt work. He could even pass for him in a flasjback scene!

Flint/Duke = the suits are gonna look at this role as interchangeable (sadly) but I'm gonna have to go with thomas jane (punisher, deep blue sea)for either or.

Shipwreck= Nick Chinlund (con air, tears of the sun) he's done navy seal once already but the dude is grisly

I have no clue who I'd want to play who. I think Im with Scarlett and would prefer no-name actors

I can see Michael Clark Duncan, and I can see Sam Elliot, but maybe Sam's a bit 'too old' for the part......:confused:

This is a hard one to answer, without suspending the space-time continuum (sp?) and using actors from the 80's that would have fit the roles then, I'll try to do a MODERN one like if I was casting the movie now.
I'll fill in more people as I figue out who would do well.
I'll also do one where we can suspend time and/or go back to the hay-day of the actor.
