Well, Barty, you've gone and done it. This is my next project. I'll probably take some liberties and turn of these guys into a lady. First there was the Roughnecks, now we have the Rejects.
Time to get to brewing up some builds with what limited available parts I may have. Also, my limited research (wikipedia) suggests that Jody is both the call of the cadence, and the man in cadence with whom army wives cheat. So, not only are you both right, but the meanings are actually interconnected. Still makes for a poor codename. And as far as the poor code name...well, we all know it's not a first. |

Special Missions #13 I'm assuming is the time Lightfoot didn't fully qualify, which was harsh.
#82 was a great issue, completely off the wall. Like how Repeater, Lightfoot and Budo qualify, we go from a mititary boot camp scenario to suiting up for the base invasion with Budo immediately donning a Samurai outfit! If GI Joe selection is anything like UK Special Forces selection, I can certainly see some candidates getting two or more bites of the cherry depending on how close to passing they are or if the Directing Staff are feeling sympathetic if someone gets an unlucky injury that leads to them Voluntarily Withdrawing. ISTR reading it happened to a couple of different guys on Pathfinder selection in the autobiography Maverick One that I've read. If I'm remembering correctly, one guy got injured with a hamstring injury or something and the DS sympathised and told him he could re-apply once he recovered whilst, IIRC, a second came very close to passing in the final phase and was told he could reapply. Another autobiog I've read about the PF mentioned a US Army Ranger came over to do PF Selection, got ticked off with all the "crazy" stuff they did (lots of cross-country marches under heavy packs) and told the OC he wasn't doing it, went back to bed and then got packed off back to the US because he basically couldn't hack it. *lols* |
