Does anyone know why the screw in holster was dropped after the 25th line? It was a cool idea, that could have allowed for alot of interchangeability (on their part) or customizability (on our part). Just have a standard socket across the line and it would be awesome.
ROC had those ugly long dropdown holsters on various figs, and that was alot more plastic (but I guess it was a belt too). But the screw in holster could not be beat in terms of strength and potential utility. |

I have to disagree.
I hate those screw in holsters for customizing. If you want to use the legs and remove the big clunky holster the leg falls apart. The holsters were all to big. I am happy they got rid of that. The dropdown holster from ROC can at least be cut and glued anywhere you choose and the size is right.

When did they stop using that feature? I remember Reactive Impact Armor Heavy Duty from RoC had one of the screw-in type holsters.

From a customizer’s perspective... I hate the screw in holsters. First, most of them were simply too large and bulky to ever be aesthetically pleasing. Second, the only way to get rid of them was to cut them down and sand them off. The recess on the leg was usually specific for the holster, so you couldn’t even switch out a ridiculous one like Duke or the HISS driver for one of the ones that was more reasonable like Shipwreck.

Yep, gotta agree from a customizer's perspective, I hate those screw-in holsters. I would say that Hasbro got rid of them because they realized the design was bad.

...because they sucked. All reasons mentioned above.
You’re livin’ on an island all by yourself on this one, OP, lol. ;)
