Check his thumbs, if the thumbnail is on the opposite side, he's an authentic Joe.
As far as value, it's hit and miss and all depends on condition and accessories. Check eBay's completed listings to see if you locate a similar figure. You can also check out Vintage 3D Joes to try to locate who you have.

We can't see the thumbnail in that picture. Again, the thumbnail should be where the thumb fingerprint is if it's an authentic GI Joe.

The thumbnail trick is Sound Advice when looking at a figure in really good condition. The problem is when the hands get worn it can be tough to tell. Best bet is to check his right ass cheek. If it's in fact a Joe it will say GI Joe by Hasbro. If it's an early GI Joe as in 1964 it should say GI Joe copyright 1964 patent pending, I believe. The clothes should also have gi joe tags. The shirt will have it on the collar and the pants it will be in the ass crack.
I am not a 12in collector so take this with a grain of salt. These are things I have just picked up over the years. Check Yojoe.com for more info.

It’s worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I’d check eBay listings and see what similar figures in the same condition as yours are going for.

Like everyone else said, to determine value I would 1st figure out his completeness and then check perviously sold listings on ebay. That should give you a good idea.

It's an Adventure Team Man of Action released between 1970-73. The uniform should have 2 snaps on the shirt and I believe 1 on the pants to be correct to that figure. That release would have come with short black boots and those are tall so I don't believe they're correct for that fig. He would have also had a dog tag and green hat.
Need to check the flocing, if there aren't any bald spots that's better. Also check the back torso, elbows, biceps, hips and knees where the pins are to see if there are any cracks. Smaller or no cracks are better. If it has good flock and small to no cracking, maybe $50+ give or take at auction. E... |
