GI Joe has a ton of potential but Hasbro has to actual back it up. We need a new cartoon, video games, a media presence of some kind. Then there are all sorts of ways to go with it. A real American hero style, international, adventure team, hell they can do anything with these figures. They have to put some effort into it though and take some chances.

I wish Hasbro had more plans to revitalize the franchise.

Maybe. It really does depend on Snake Eyes at this point. If that doesn't work out or disappoints, this franchise is done. It'll go the way of Visionaries and M.A.S.K.

i'd say yes, if they could manage to strike a balance between appealing to us older diehards, and roping in the younger generation, which is easier said than done.
the films managed to really do neither, outside of providing a new toy line, which in my opinion, still really only was appreciated by the older collectors. I'd say no, if they felt that they could continue to go in the direction that Star Wars and Transformers went, meaning "f**K the OG fans, the franchise has enough appeal on it's own to bring in a new generation", because, let's face it, it just doesn't.

Not that I have any experience with Overwatch, but I'd say no. GiJoe should be like GiJoe, albeit refreshed a bit for modern times.
