all the time... Back when I was a kid we had a 5 ft deep, 32 ft diameter pool and we would always have water battles, even going so far as to light firecrackers on our TBP then dive underwater to watch it explode...
Little did I know that 20 years later, that would be my favorite playset and want it re-released. But ahh yes, those underwater battles were awsome...especially with having Snake Eyes "ninja" up to a squad of eels and pull their face masks off before gutting em'. hehehe

I grew up in the middle of nowhere, and we had plenty of awesome creeks in the woods and I'd use for water battles.
I remember I'd just bought Slice and put him in the inflatable boat another joe or something came with, he tipped over, and fell to the bottom of a deep creek. Thinking back, it was only like 3 feet, but I was a weenie apparently. Still kinda pisses me off to this day.

I grew up on a lake, and I took many of my Joe toys down there during the summer. WHALE, SHARC, Water Mocassin, APC, Devilfish, Warthog, and the Battle platform were down there every summer. I too have many figures with "rusty screw syndrome"

All the time!
But only figures never the vehicles. Then all the screws would rust :( The only vehicles I ever took into the tub as a kid were a few of the MASK toys as they were small. |
