I edit almost all of my listings from a CPU now, because of issues with the app. The app is great for checking on things, and great for buying, but it sucks when it comes to selling.

Yeah, it automatically changes your settings sometimes too which sucks.

I can generally get the app to do what I want but sometimes have rework as the app decides to change settings on its own. I have to save the progress as a draft and close the app and then reopen and bring up the draft then finish it. Usually works. Not always.

As someone who has has been quite active on FleBay (as a buyer) in spurts over the past while, it has become clear to me you never bid on anything until the very end. The only exception is an opening bid, but even then, you are potentially setting your paid price higher as you will need to be the third bid if someone else shows up. If you follow this rule, you sometimes miss things, but that is how things go.
From a buyers perspective, the value of BIN decreases as time increases and the inversion of this with auctions. Shill/Hate bidding is a huge problem and early bidding is only an enabler. Every once in a while, you can win unnoticed auctions with low/reasonable bids, but I find that the Joe listings are generally rational. Outside of Wave 1 Dollar General figures, it does seem like the market has softened since the rush of the Toys that Made us to JoeCon frenzies. Is this the case?

Lol eBay brings out the dregs of society just like walmart. Found an auction with a buy it now. Place my offer. Day later I get a reply. I submit again. Day later I get a reply. This happened a few times. My offers are fair based on condition and availability. Even messaged the guy. Hey look no one is bidding on this, I'm the only one interested in it so let's cut the back and forth. But I said it politely. What's your bottom number? " Least I will take is a dollar less". then just list it for a dollar less. 6 day auction, it's the last day with 0 bids and your going beat me up for 3 days over a buck?

You pay the price you see, a seller doesn't receive that price. a dollar matters.

I put "free" shipping on almost every listing because I kept getting stung on the detailed ratings for my shipping price...despite my explanation that it included packing materials and eBay fees on shipping. There would always be that buyer who would look at my $4 shipping and think I was running to Vegas with their money because the postage only cost around $3. So to buck that issue, everything now costs more, but ships "free."
So, with that as a backdrop, I have some low-dollar BIN listings with best offer available primarily so that a buyer who wants several items can offer less as a means of "combining" shipping. For anyone who doesn't know it, the bottom-line breakeven amount to sell anything on eBay that can't be shipped with a Forever Stamp is about $4 shipped (which is why I used to set my shipping at that price, so the actual item price was within 13% of my "take" on a sale...it made it easier to judge asking prices and incoming offers). At $4 shipped, assuming they spend about $0.70 on a bubble mailer and assuming the total weight is 4 ounces or less, a seller ends up with nothing after fees, packaging, and postage (obviously this figure does not apply to Chinese sellers shipping to the US since the US offers them subsidized shipping rates). For a typical domestic seller, it's easier for the seller to just throw the item in the trash than to accept a $4 offer. If you EVER submit an offer for a single item with no plans to combine shipping then subtract $4 from your offer and 87% of the remainder is what you're really offering the seller for their item and their time to pack and ship it. I don't bargain with people trying to make offers on items below about $10 or so unless they are buying more than one thing. And for every seller that won't drop by a dollar there is a buyer who won't just pay the asking price instead of pushing for the dollar off. Right now I have an eBay user who has been intermittently offering me literally $0.50 less than my asking price on an eight dollar item for the past month or so. Really? Anyway, I've been on both sides of the "best offer" screen and I know I've made offers I would never accept, but I think it helps to understand what your offers actually mean before you think a seller is being arbitrarily petty. Maybe they are, or maybe there is an actual reason.
