I kind of miss the late 90's Kay Bee toys experience.
Just leave everything a mess. What aisles? Its fun to just move through the rummage and just..kinda take it all in. Look around and find so many random toys sprawled everywhere. The musty smell of old moldy toy packaging. Bring back that 'nerds basement' experience and it might just take off and become a thing all its own in this day and age! |

Possibly as early as June 12, 2019 the online company Hobby Warehouse (in Australia) will launch a new site calling themselves Toys"R"Us, and will sell a select range of toys from their site. They plan to expand their inventory to eventually have the widest range of toys available in Australia later this year, and will be shipping to Australia and New Zealand.
They will only be an online store in the beginning, but they are hoping to establish brand new physical location Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us experimental stores next year.

Toys R Us is reopening stores in the United States later this year, according to the new CEO (Richard Barry) of Tru Kids, Inc., headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey.
Just in time for the 2019 holiday season, Toys R Us is expected to launch an e-commerce site, but also several stores in the United States. These locations will be about a third of the size of traditional Toys R Us outlets, but will have play areas and other experiences for shoppers. source: Bloomberg

It's on the e-commerce sites where each of these companies hope to do business, and share in some of the wealth that Amazon enjoys.

Still massive TRUs in Asia. Just went to one last week. However, no Joes. Only True Heroes.

I think opening or staffing these little store locations in only a few select cities of each country (Canada, Australia, and the United States) by each of these three companies, using the Toys R Us name and logo, is mainly a public relations strategy.
It's on the e-commerce sites where each of these companies hope to do business, and share in some of the wealth that Amazon enjoys.
