I think someone mentioned the "Battle of Benzeen" earlier in this post string where most of the Joes that have died met their end.
I'm a little surprised that no one mentioned the S.A.W. Viper that murdered them. Cobra Commander gave Tomax & Xamot an order to "get rid of them" but he meant "release them". T & X misinterpreted this as "kill them" and S.A.W. Viper took on the task when the twins were too hesitant. From my understanding of the Marvel comic books, Snake-Eyes & Storm Shadow brought that very S.A.W. Viper to justice at the edge of their swords. Also, if I'm not mistaken, that particular S.A.W. Viper apparently DID NOT die but had his ninja-maimed body replaced in large-part by cybernetics. The reborn Cobra agent came to be known as "Overkill". You can check my facts about that last part but, from what I've read on file cards, I do believe it's true. Kamakura Supporting the Joe team since 1983 P.S. I don't believe in this "new continuity" b.s. so I am boycotting IDW's Joe comic books. Therefore, I also disregard their "history" of who they kill in their comic books. Kamakura, you are correct about the Saw Viper. He did not die until much later, during the WWIII storyline, when Cobra agents raiding the Coffin killed him and several others.

Too many characters got killed in that 'Throwaway' list that were killed at the coffin, what a waste of what could have been an awesome scene. |

Yeah, I suppose it would've been interesting to see that. The whole WWIII storyline had potential, but it just got so rushed that it lost any meaning.
