Seeing even some "Haters" buy-up ROC product is scaring me. What's going on? I haven't seen ROC product on the shelves for what's the point of rushing to stores for product that received such bad reviews. Now that people see ROC toys in person, there seems to be a shift in opinion. What is it about ROC product that makes it better in person?

Toys are almost always better in person.
There weren't many "reviews" at all for RoC product. Maybe a few leaked figures, but you can't really "review" something until you have it in hand. But most importantly: It's perfectly possible to think the toys are awesome while still thinking the movie will be/is crap. |

I think it has to do with just wanting joe product. People go to the store and they buy a ton of overpriced stuff and in their minds they say its ok because they havent bought any joes at all in the last few months. So maybe they were saving their toy budget for it. They go to the store and its hard to resist just picking up everything like they did for 25th/ ME.

I want 'em cause they're cool and will make good additions to my Joeverse. I've already gone thru and worked out where they all fit (the ones I want anyways).
Jmacq1, you're right, can like one and still hate the others, but the opinion around here seems to be that "if it says RoC it's wrong" which isn't right. Judge everything on it's own merits, toys seperate from movie. But as to the OP, I didn't like the first looks at Reactive Armor Duke, so was low on my list, but now that have seen some of the finished product and heard the in-hand comments, I actually want to get him now. It's like anything, you really should see it for yourself before making judgement.
