It may be a bleak time to buy G.I. Joe figures at retail, but there has never been a more exciting time for fans if you are interested in stories about your favorite characters. Some fans, it seems, are missing out on the engaging stories that are being published via Kindle Worlds, so I thought I'd put together a list of titles that fans might want to check out.
Bill Nedrow: (The guy's stuff is good, even if he is, you know, me. All 7 of his works are in the top 12 featured titles right now). G.I. Joe: First Salvo G.I. Joe: Honor G.I. Joe: Body Count G.I. Joe: Dishonor Thy Father G.I. Joe Legacy: Stiletto G.I. Joe: Buzzer G.I. Joe Legacy Contamination: Sightline Justin Bell: G.I. Joe: Price of Peace (3 parts) G.I. Joe Legacy: Whisper G.I. Joe: Welcome to Wolf Squad G.I. Joe: Nerves of Steel Jim Beard: G.I. Joe Legacy: Adventure Team Marcus G.I. Joe Adventure Team: Mystery of the Sunken Tomb Don Maue: G.I. Joe Tales of Castle Destro (four parts) G.I. Joe Contamination Legacy: Loose Ends Wes Ferguson: G.I. Joe: Cobra Reborn (2 parts) G.I. Joe Adventure Team (4 parts) G.I. Joe Contamination Legacy: Venom Troy Osgood: G.I. Joe: First Strike G.I. Joe: The Spy Eye- A Sky Patrol Operation G.I. Joe: Pipeline Panic G.I. Joe: Brainstorm G.I. Joe: Sightline- Just Another Mission G.I. Joe: Hot Potato G.I. Joe Legacy: Blackjack G.I. Joe: Snakehunter G.I. Joe Blackjack: The Missing Years This is of course not a comprehensive list. It should be noted that all of the above authors have spoken (or will speak) at JoeCon Kindle Worlds Author Panels. This year, I will be joined by Justin Bell, Jim Beard (his first time), and Don Maue to discuss our contributions to G.I. Joe lore and other works of fiction that we have published. Do you have a favorite listed above or a recommendation that isn't on the list? Share your favorites. |

Copies of the long awaited Joy of Joe should be available to purchase for the first time.
I may bring a copy or two of the I.V. Frost anthology that features one of my stories. I think Justin and Jim will have copies of their other non-Joe works as well. Last edited by wedge1968; 05-17-2018 at 08:08 AM.. |

I just posted news that is circulating that the Kindle Worlds program will come to a close soon. All of the stories that are currently available will be gone on or around July 16th.
Go get them while you can. You won't regret the investment. |

Check out Ghost Viper by Justin Boyle as well. It's realistic as can be while maintaining everything you love about GI Joe. Highly recommended.

Also of note, the Kindle Worlds website will be closed on August 29th, so read these stories very quickly...

If the product had not been limited to text, one could have done many interesting things with the cartoon art to make comics or somesuch. When I first heard about the idea, my head started swimming, but after reading the FAQ I was sorely disappointed.
I guess ASCII art comics would have been interesting and potentially time relevant, but not so interesting to me. |

So why are they closing the Kindle Worlds program? Isn’t it successful?
